I am going through the same thing. The size of the factory wheels is 18" x 8", the offset is +50 mm and the bolt pattern is 5 x 114.3 (4.5). I have been told that a wheel as wide as 10" will work, but I am only going to go as wide as 8.5".

Aint the offset different between the front and the rear wheel? I m thinking bout getting the Volk GT-C face 2 What's the offset of the front and th back?

Be aware that if you go with a bigger than stock rim/tire combo, you may have to roll your fenders to get clearance. I'm currently at 18" x 8.5" and I didn't have to roll but it all just depends.

Are the front/rear offsets different? I don't think so....
I think they would be if you had (or decided to put) a different size rim in the front and back; but we don't AFAIK.

The offset's on our cars is the same all the way around, that way we can rotate our tires!
If you are going with aftermarket wheels, make sure the offset are set lower than what stock is because the rear wheels, as well as the fronts sit alot farther in than they really need to...

04 RX8 6speed
18X8 front and rear
5-114mm bolt circle

hey i was wondering if any one had a 19x 7.5 rims on their car..or do anyone know if its ok to go a bit smaller on the wheel width. i want this one rims in particular but they only have it in 19x7.5. so i was wondering if any one has put similar rims on or anyone knows it would be ok.

remeber a wider wheel/tire doesnt always mean more grip...most of the time you are just changing the SHAPE of the contact patch NOT SIZE!
although most people throw that out the window if they want a certain look or stance to the car.
