Question 18x8 wheels?

What's the difference if I go with 18x8 rims or 18x8.5 rims? I know the 8.5 are .5" wider, but what else?

Does it affect anything?

Hmm..

No effects on handling.. tire size... scraping.. protruding out the fenders, nothing?

In other words, would they go on an RX-8 and I not make any difference?

I have 18x8 front and 18x9 rear.. i haven't had a problem yet. I don't think 18x8.5 front would make any difference if you kept the tire size at 225x45x18. But I'm no expert on tires.

0.5" and certainly heavier than 8" but I think 8.5" opens up a lot more option for tire sizes and 245 sits much nicer in a 8.5
