18x9.5 +28????????????

18x9.5 +28????????????
I've been searching but i cant find anyone who has tried this offset.... I want to get a set of 18x9.5in wheels idealy i would lilke a +35 but some that i found are offered in a +28. I am planning on running 245/45's and know that the rear fenders will probobly need to be rolled. Another thing i am running -2.7deg of camber all the way around so the wheels are pretty tucked in from that.
Please dont respond if you dont have idea if this will fit. I've used offset calculators and measured and i think there is a chance that it may work because of the extreme negative camber i'm running. But please let me know if anyone has actually heard of these offsets working, thanks!!!

No chance on that working. at that wheel size, most folks are running +45 offsets. Check out http://www.good-win-racing.com/ , they get a special run of RP-F1s in 18x9.5

245 is pretty stretched on a 9.5.
the Ings+1 car has 8.5 +22 on the front wheels. that's the most aggressive i know.
don't know anyone running that offset in the rear. but that tire is not as wide as other people do with aggressive offsets so it might fit with the added camber

The reason for the 245's is that i have 4 sets of they laying around and i like how a stretched tire handles, i've had everything from 265's on my car to 225's i have right now stretched on a 9in wheel. Just thought i'd try something different. Right now i have 17x8 +32 in the front with a 25mm spacer and i have had 255/40/17 kuhmo v700's on them and they cleared with the camber i'm running. right now in the back i'm running a 17x9 +38 and with a 255/40 v700 it cleared fine and the top was alittle too sunk in for my taste, With a 18x9.5 +28 the wheel would extend 16mm further out, stretching a 245 and rolling the fender it would be really really close with -2.7 deg of camber. I want the top of my wheels to be as flush as possible. I would like a +35 offset but i'm still waiting to see if i can order the wheels w/ that offset. +28 is in stock and i was just thinking about the possability of it working at all.
the rear is the only problem, i'm pretty sure it would work in the front because the difference between a 17x8 +32 and a 18x9.5 +28 is that the wider wheel would stick out 23mm further, I am already running a 25mm spacer up front and it works so the lip would sit in just about same position.

also, most people that run 9.5in wide wheels run 265's/275's which require a +45 offset to clear....but i am not planning on ever running such a wide tire on these wheels
compaired to the front offset of the Ings+1 car which apparently is 8.5 +22, a 9.5 +28 would extend 7mm further out. I'm not sure what camber they are running or what size tire, but I am running -2.7 which has a pretty large effect in clearance. With a stock or mild camber setting there is no way these wheels would work. but considering the amount of negative camber i'm running i think it may be possible......and i do plan on rolling the hell out of the rear fenders.
i would just like to know the most extreme offsets you've seen on a non widebody car.....

hey lazi what camber settings are you running and what size tires do you have?
an 18x9.5 +28 only extends 7mm which is only .275 inches further out than a +35, depending on what tire size and camber your running rolling the rear fenders may provide just enough room!!
also is your car lowered and if so how much lower is it, i'm running tein s-tech springs which i think are like a 1.4in drop in the front and .7in in the back....

is there any way you could measure the clearence between the rear fender lip and your tires, and maybe judge if 7mm would be an issue when the wheel travels up into the wheel well, also what is the aspect ratio of your tires 40/45....??

If you are planning to run the same size all the way around and you already have a setup on the front that is comparable to the one you are going to then why don't you just put the front wheel and spacer on the rear and see if it fits or not?

It will hit the rear fender lip if you run Yokohama Advan Neova AD07 265/35-18 tires, which are wider than most 275 tires. The 265/35 Advan will start rubbing around +39 with a 9.5 wheel. Other narrower tires may clear with +35, but +28 will be an issue in the rear.

TeamRX8 i'm planning on running a 245......I'm thinking it'll prob clear, and I dont plan on running tires any bigger than that, I have another set of wheels for that.......do you think a 245 will fit, i know it will be pretty stretched so i think it may.....

it will be too close to call without actually doing it
I'm running 265/35-18 Yoko Advan tiress on 18 x 10.5 +43 SSR Comp-H wheels. It clears the rear lip with -2.5 deg rear camber. Your wheel lip will stick out a bit further than mine. It will ultimately come down to how wide is the 245 tire you plan to use ....
