a 275 tire with -5 deg camber on an RX-8 is equal to having a 155 tire at the proper camber setting, congratulations on taking one step forward and two steps back ..

And people are just making up flaws, the lip fits perfectly, the car does not lean, does not rub, the headlights are custom painted and they are color matched perfectly. They don't rip off other brands styles yo! They rip off the rip offs, but at least they have their own designs (kind of), and they cost almost half the price of Rotas. So yeah...

 

Being totally honest, if that car won a trophy I wouldn't be proud of it. Either no one else entered or it was like little league and they give out trophies to everyone. That last guy you quoted had his car at SEMA. Nice choice.

I did the show circuit for years with this car and the three that proceeded it. After I got multi-page features in a few well-known magazines, I kinda lost interest.

If you are gonna be serious about showing the car (and I don't mean in some Podunk local show run by the Knights of Columbus or something), you are going to have to get an education in this quick or you are gonna be pissed.

A clean stocker with a few carbon bits is not a showcar.

Not particularly. Just an observation. You are the one that said you hardly drive it.
Though, if I went to a show with a suspension that was that dirty and banged up as it is in your photos, I would have lost too many points to win.

and yes the pics look dirty because it was right after the install of the upper control arm. I clean all of that before/at shows no worries.
