275/30/19 on 19x9.5 +50?

Hi guys, as the title suggests I’d like to go wide — and without rubbing at any point, no matter the circumstances.

would 275/30/19 on 19x9.5 +50 work? The offset calculator says it will stick out 19.1mm more relative to stock and will also be 19.1mm closer to the suspension relative to stock.

currently I have 245/40 on the stock 18x8 rims with 20mm spacers — so I know for sure 25.7 OD does not rub, even 20mm outside... and with the 275/30/19 being 25.5, I have no worries about rubbing on the outside... What worries me is the inside... is 19.1mm closer to suspension pushing it?

thanks!

I have 275/30/19 on 19x9.5 rims, on the rear. Pretty sure the rim offset is +42. No rubbing whatsoever, even with passengers. Rolled guards though.

Whoa +42 on 9.5. That’s like having 27mm spacers on stock rims according to the offset calculator. Right now, with 20mm spacers on stock wheels, I cannot stick a full finger between the tire and the rear fender lip at full load with three passengers... See photos. so I seriously doubt going adding 7mm to the outside would work. Do you think it makes up for it because the OD will be smaller?

Could you please help? You seem to be the fitment gurus. My main concern is that 19.1mm more to the inside than stock may hit suspension or rub somewhere on the inside? What do you think?

thank you.

In short, your setup is nearly identical to the one that I'd planned after pretty extensive research. I was going to run 18"'s rather than 19"s but otherwise same offset, diameter and width of tires. I'd say you're fine. You didn't mention your suspension mods (lowered?), but it looked stock -- you'll have less space if you drop the car.

Your analysis of finger gap is useful, but remember that the wheels/tires tuck in as the body rolls ("camber gain").

You didn't mention a willingness to roll the fenders or subtract a little camber, but I don't think these are necessary with a stock suspension and this setup. Sadly, no 2 cars are identical and a quick search on the forum will show that even left to right ride heights differ a bit, whether from spring sag, binding rubber on components, etc. This is the challenge of prescribing near the limit sizes, but I'd still endorse the setup and then tweak anything that isn't perfect (borrowing a fender roller is an easy first and probably last step and will probably cost you a 6-pack of beverages).
