TX 64.1 Center Bore wheel hub ring adapter question

Just looking to see if I was correct in the assumption that wheel hub ring adapters would allow me to fit these 19x8.5 Volk GTS +43mm offset 64.1 center bore Continental ContiSport Contact 235/40R19. Thanks for the help all!

To clarify, I just basically want to know if i would still need to have a machine shop to widen the center bore if I were to buy hub wheel adapters.

The Mazda hubcenter diameter is 67.1mm. The center bore in the wheel will need to be at least this large to fit over the hubcenter extension protruding out from the suspension hubs

If the wheel bore is less than this you will need to either have it bored out or use a spacer to move the wheel out past the hubcenter extension on the suspension hub.

If the wheel has a larger bore, but is fitted with smaller bore adapters then you will either need to get the proper adapters or have those smaller ones bored out.

Dude, why are you making this so difficult? Just buy wheels that fit. You should also keep all this stuff in one thread.

You're going to have to get them bored out at a machine shop to 67.1mm.

Hahaha no need to get hostile 9k, even though I should have posted in my original thread regarding the bbs. You have to understand though the Volks with tires are selling for 1700. I know you can see this as a badass deal, I figured for that price some hassle may be worth it.

I'm not getting hostile, but you are not researching enough. That's a decent deal until you add the cost of getting them bored out or getting spacers and adapters. Spacers are not a good idea because with your stock auto it will look ridiculous with those 19's, not to mention the spacers would have to be a 67.1 center bore or larger as well so then you would need adapter rings to go back down to 64.1. Just get rims that fit man, there are plenty of options in the price range you are looking.

Well damn.... when explained like that it sounds like a real pain in the ***. Alright for real this time..... I won't be back till I get a proper set up to post pics. I'll make sure to pick some clean wheels, San Antonio RX8 club members seem to have good taste. I've seen a serious lack of gaudy **** coming from our area, thankfully. I'm looking for advan rs's, Enkei rpf 03 sbc, piaa super rozza, r3 wheels, or some kind of nice mesh wheels.

As Arca mentioned, you can have the centerbores machined out to the proper spec, likely for around $25/wheel.

Tiltmode, your pretty much right on the money as far as price is concerned. I was told 35 for each wheel at a local shop. I assume the original center caps would be useless after getting the center bore redrilled. Would you happen to know ?

When they bore out the hub size they don't have to bore it out to that size all the way through so the center caps should still work just fine.

As Arca mentioned yet again, machining out CB won't effect the centercap area as they should not machine all the way through :icon_tuo:
