CA ABS issue

I have new brake rotors (less than 100 miles on them) and brake pads from EBC brakes. I have the red stuff and their slotted/drilled rotors installed.

I installed these upgraded rotors/pads because my stock rotors were warped.

Now, that I have installed this setup, I am still feeling the same right rear wobbling. I took it to a mechanic outside of the dealership and he said it is most likely my ABS system. I took it to the dealership mechanic (still have a warranty) and he said it was the brand new rotors, I'm guessing he just didn't want to repair anything if he could blame it on aftermarket parts.

My question is: how difficult is it to repair the ABS system myself and are there any manuals available online to do so? or would it be better to take it to a different mechanic and have him repair it. Does anybody know how much it might cost? Or how to tell the difference between a faulty ABS or warped rotors?

Thank you,
Jesse

Take an hour or two to read this very informative post: BRAKE FAQ

It may clear things up about why we use the word 'warped' and 'wobbly' once we describe problems with our brakes.

I second the suggestion to read the Brake FAQ. You don't really give enough information to completely diagnose the situation, but I strongly suspect the problem is not your brakes. You may have a bent wheel, and improperly mounted wheel or rotor (sometime people don't get the rotors on right and something can get between the rotor and the hub), or a bad tire, or an unbalanced tire.

ABS isn't going to cause a wobble, it is either working or it is not. If it is working you will only notice it when you over brake or are on a slick surface (dirt or wet). If it isn't working you will just lock up the tires.

The car drives straight through turns and twists. The wobble I feel usually occurs when I brake hard. Softly braking, causes nothing. When I come to a complete stop from around 60 or so mph, is when I feel the brakes wobble. I did not install this rotor kit, my father did. I could take it to another mechanic as well, to get another opinion. I do believe it could be a mistake on my dad's part for possibly installing it incorrectly. It also could be from an accident about a year ago. The RX8 is my first car, and being a stupid 20 year old kid at the time, I thought I could hit a corner at a certain speed while it was raining. My tires were pretty worn, and I slid into a street curb. Both wheels were replaced in the accident, as well as the tires. Also, the issue is only noticed in the rear right wheel. Unfortunately, I am deployed in Japan and I can't really take a look at the car myself. I am relying on my father to repair it.

Check the wheel bearing in the rear wheel. You may have damaged it when you had the accident. A bad bearing might cause the rotor to wobble a bit.
