Hello I have a question. I bought a Tein lowering springs and its suppose to drop Front 1.4 and Rear .7 Once the springs are on, do they need to be adjust the springs that way i'll drop 1.4 and .7 ???

there isnt any ride height adjustment with the stock setup- so the answer is 'yes'.

No you're right -- they just compress and install. But there is a break-in period before they settle to the 1.4" and 0.7" drop. After you put on a couple thousand miles, you'll notice that the drop will be a little lower than at first.

actually the rear is pretty low already in some 8's. The front is the more of the eye sore.

I dropped my car using H&R springs.
They're supposed to be 1.0" all around, but the back still looks higher than the front, even though the front guard is cut higher for more clearance.

I was merely stating that 0.7" is still a little bit too high at the back.
From my lowering experience, the back needs to be lowered 0.25-0.5" more than the front.

I actually want to get the ms kit and dont want it to be dragging off the ground very much content of the drop.

As to the rear being lower than the front..... Is it for looks or is it functional?
Before doing after market surgery, what are you realy looking for??

There aren't any kits that drop the rear more than the front.

Sillygirl, I have the S Tech springs also. As mentioned, just drive a few hundred miles, they will settle, and you will love the drop.

I think the s-techs are the proper drop...the rear is set to sit lower than the fromt on a stock rx8....so when you drop the car on teins it actualy makes the car look like it has equal drop all around.......if the drop were even for front and rear it would just make the car sit on the same angle just lower. ( pitched up a bit in the front)

I think the car being lower in the rear is a side effect of function....the rear suspension is softer than the front and is set that way for better traction on launch and corners and such.....
