I love the bronze, I think it looks much better than gunmetal on a black car.

kel got me really thinking of that 5x100. i didnt get a chance to fit them on. i sent them off to the place to get powdercoated. i've posted on the rx7 forum and barotary to get some replys behind that 5x100.

it's very weird because the sticker behind the wheel says 114.3 and on the box it says 114.3...

I really hope they fit, although i would go by the stamp on the wheels rather than the box or sticker... good luck.

also I happen to LOVE the black and bronze

I would worry a little on the 5x100.. etched into the outer rim. Sticker the guy could have just stuck it on. Should figure this out before you spend money changing the color.

Did you have to wait to choose a rim, or waited 3 months to get the rims from the date you purchased it?

i waited 3 months to order a wheel. i was interested in the sp1s, hiros, and these stern st-4s, but however each of those had a reason for being backordered, out of stock, or not even produced in the right size yet. i had even drove to the stern headquarters i believe, in their still "unfinished showroom" for the wheels. i couldnt believe them, they put on their website they had the sizes out, even gave info to their reps they had the sizes. then when i actually made an effort to visit... i was told they are still in production in that size, i couldn't take a demo one out and put it next to my car, and that i actually wasnt supposed to be in their showroom. imo the rep guys were nice but the headquarters manager there, and the false information on their wheels totallly upset me about even ever getting stern wheels. then i found a somewhat decent deal on these ce28s so i grabbed em.

If they are 5x100, they won't fit. Our cars need 5x114.3

Since you waited 3 months, when didn't you just special order the Volks to your liking. It would only have taken 2 months at most. Or check out Wheeloptions.com call Vic. I asked them before and he had the Gunmetal finish for 19" Volks... but not sure which version. Maybe it was GTPs or LE37s... They always have something in stock if you can't wait.

Ya 5x100 wont fit. You should make sure that's the case before you powder coat them..

Mind we ask what the deal was? 1600+?

Btw, did you verify if it is indeed 5x114.3? or 5x100?

should talk to john at ptp motorsports regarding a price.
what i've found for these wheels in the 19" size range from 600-680
18" are around 500-550 a piece so 1600 for me would be wishful thinking.

they said the 5x100 shouldnt be a problem and to ignore it.

on a side note for those with the US version of the mazdaspeed front bumper here are some pix of the bumper with that plastic bar removed and a new grill installed...due to the original grill didnt continue behind the bar. you'll notice some gaps where the bar originally was, tho imo i'd prefer the gaps over that plastic bar :o
