People can hate on me for buying copies and ****. Don't matter to me. I bought what I could afford and what I thought looked good.

No they're not... the markings on them are copied into the mold.

Those Rotas look pretty nice..I agree with Mike, I wouldn't buy expensive wheels to go drifting..If my car was for show, then that's another story.

On another note, anyone can get any set of wheels that they desire, who gives a ****, it's their car, not yours!

I honestly didn't figure the wheels would generate hate. The car is going full on drift car status and not some show car.

If it I was going show car I would of bought CCWs instead of the Rota's. I mean honestly, why spend $3500+ to risk damaging them if the car goes into a wall.

Initial fitment impressions: HOLY ****

Now bear in mind I run really aggressive camber for the street(F: -3* R:-3.5*) and run Sprint 2" Drops spring that settle well below that. The rear of the car with stockish camber and no pre roll would be impossible. My tire is touching the inner fender as we speak. The front I have plenty of room and no need to roll just yet.

Pics:

Gona go back out in a little bit and roll the rears. The fronts I won't do until I get coilovers

congrats Fate

you need some different angles on your shots tho!!

*** shot to see the stance - close up 3/4 angle shot from a squat position and a rear quarter panel to see fitment.

Looks good - now slam it

I plan on rockin my Rota Boosts til the day comes that my 8 is no longer a daily driver. They're lightweight, I like the offset, & imo they look sexy as hell. Who cares if they're Advan knockoffs lol I like 'em & that's what matters!

The car is actually lower, but it has been on jackstands for almost 2 months, so I think after some driving it will settle a little bit. The car is dirty as **** from all the dust that blows around out here.

Thanks for the compliments and I promise, no more iPhone pics. I'm gona get the rears rolled here in a bit(had to take a nap, woke up at 6am on my day off, gah!). Then I'm gona go get it washed and take the camera with me and see if I can't get some pics that are better.

Is this becoming a rota <3 thread now?

Props to you Fate for doing what you want, who cares what other people think.

On the other hand, to so many people saying, "I wouldn't buy real wheels for drifting, that'd be stupid." - Why not buy the cheapest car to drift in as well? You can go off track or crash while driving aggressively/on the track as well, but that doesn't stop people from getting authentic wheels...

Orange wheel <3 either way

The Rota orange looks a bit darker than Volk orange...

Another thing...Rota's are much weaker than wheels made by Rays, therefore will not withstand the impact as well.
