The rears don't look too bad.

Also, check out the body roll.

No sways, though that front pitch really is crazy though.

You can tell it is under load but still looks too much. If my car dove that much it would rip off the lip.

Does look a touch soft; crazy how those rims are still tucking; must have some good camber on there.

Ha ha...perhaps. I know I had fun doing it and the guys form DSPORT that are doing a nice photo shoot of my car and our Red Line Time Attack Car loved the presentation.

Soon car is going to be raised up a tad...and all suspension parts will be adjusted.

It was a fun day and we finished 1st in class and 2nd out of 93 overall...

I have 18's for DD and it raises the car up a slight...minor scrapes once in a while, but nothing major.

Working on the sway situation...Sold the progress sways. Hotchkis Sways came too late so had to put on the stock. next pics will be with the Hotchkis. Car is always a work in progress.

This was kinda a test and tune with a local Miata Chapter.

You'd be surprised....but yeah. If you are careless than I am sure you would rip off the lip or something even at stock height. I have seen it done.

Aggressive Wheel Fitment Thread-img_0856.jpg Aggressive Wheel Fitment Thread-img_0857.jpg Aggressive Wheel Fitment Thread-img_0859.jpg

18x10 +28 Forgestar F14's on all 4 corners
255/40/18 Hankook V12's
Car is lowered from stock: 26" from ground to front fender and 26-1/2" to rear fender.

As you can see there is already some nice poke with the tires. Still got some work to do. Rear has to get rolled and possibly shaved a tad for my liking after checking it with a block under one of the rear tires to see how close it would get. Rear needs to also get lowered another 1/2 - 3/8" max.

Front end with wheel well liner removed is 1/16" - 1/8" from rubbing on the sheet metal. I inspected it and will grind it right away to get some more breathing room in there along with slitting/heating up the wheel well liner to fit; it's spot welded and you're not losing anything by removing it in a small area. I'll wind up welding the sheet metal back up at a later time. Front end also to get lowered another 1/4" max as it already sets 1/2" lower than the rear.

After all that is done depending on how much poke is left may add some negative camber to finish it off.

I think 25" to 24.5" would look best with what you have, if the tire size will allow it.

the tire size wont allow it im at 25 1/4 front and 25 1/2 rear with 18x10+30 and 255/40s. i rub like crazy with the rear bumper tab shaved and the front is bent up and ziptied. i also had to grind down the front drivers side fender seam to the spot welds to keep from slicing my tire up.

There's also a fine line I think with not going too low IMO. That and the fact over in the NE a lot of roads here are ****, I've already had some close calls with it currently lowered and lowering it as planned another 1/4" tops on the front is cutting it close

Yeup, not likely going to go as far as you though and I may have stiffer springs to prevent a rub. I jacked a corner up on the front and rear with a block under the tire to check them separately one at a time; front looks like with 9k coils from Stance they'll do ok, rears as I noted definitely need a roll and some camber. I'd love to get your height Jew as it's the most optimal one I've seen IMO for performance/looks but not sure I can without other problems. On inclines and even my garage when I back out it drops a little from the garage floor to the gravel and it's quite close to hitting the front bumper on the garage floor once the front wheel goes down to the gravel..not to mention incline/decline changes in the road I have to go over daily to work and back.

Oh and if anyone asks, those are Mcgard splined lugs. I like the splined ones since now they have to have that spline key socket not to mention messing with the keyed lug nut as well to get those off instead of just jamming a socket over and trying to get them loose if they tried for theft.

Damn a 255/40 is a hard fit for that wheel. Would have been easier to fit with a 255/35. Oh well, wheels look like sex! Cant wait to see some finished pics of them

You're right, a 255/35 would have but, my speed is 2 mph off and with that size would be around 5-7 mph off. I just don't want to deal with it being that much off. Plus with the **** hole roads here I have at least more tire to protect my investment

It's not that much work depending on your drop to get it to work. IMO for the drop I want like Jew's a simple roll and some grinding will to just fine and it's not that much effort when you look at what has to be done.

The day I mounted was the day my motor blew. Should have the car back within the next 7 days though

Vlaze - Looks nice, could have looked nicer with a bit more drop and a 35 profile 255 but you've got other priorities it as well so compromise was necessary.

alex - get that demon camber out of here!
