honesty 19X9.5 +28 is not aggressive at all. and i never talk **** about people with weak offset.
if you can make a 22X10 -28 wheel fit, that is one freaking aggressive wheel.
but before they become an aggressive wheel, MAKE THEM FIT.

Most adults know it's EXTREMELY difficult to change another adult's mind just by talking... and others prefer to ignore this obvious fact. Therefore, a person is very likely not going to listen when someone says "no dont do that" unless he or she asks for the advice/opinion first.

What is funny is you guys crackin' on Dan like he doesn't know ****....
Aggressive is a subjective term; his version is different than yours - but he is by no means a hater - especially when it would take a serious 13B to even hope to keep up with him; so he actually NEEDS the rubber; unlike most.

Let's play a game then.
I'll admit I have functional prejudices for cars. 99.99% of mods are done because "race cars" do them, etc.... case in point is carbon fiber and super aggressive wheels.... I don't mind them - as long as you got the power to back it up.
So if your running a 230-240HP motor, why do you need 10 inch wide tires? Same as carbon fiber, if you're doing it for the weight savings; why do you leave it unpainted - to show everyone how cool your CF hood is... these are my opinions. What are your guys' for running serious rubber and close to tubbed out cars?

I think this thread is great....just needs a bit of reality once in a while
I think you will find in 10 pages I only piped up a couple of times....
Usually AFTER I get PM's from people wondering why they can't get there wheels to fit like some of these setups.....
I will go back to my usual choice of only making constructive comments............

because wider tires gives you better handling, maybe you'll be just a bit slower in the straight but you do be able to hit the turns faster.
I track my car so do not think that we don't know anything about tracking. and yes i do have my track wheels that are not as aggressive.
there are many kind of cars out there, race car, street car, show car, etc
why force everyone to be in the race car category?

I don't think I am forcing anyone in the race car category... I know my car isn't a race car - and that effects what I do to it.
But you have to admit the wider tires thing COMES from the racing scene... but that only makes sense to the extent you can use the extra rubber.
I like clean builds... and to the extent things become over the top - then I no longer think of it as a clean build.... I mean you could say that a 12 foot tall wing is just a fashion statement; but everyone viewing the thread right now would call it over the top I bet.

to be honest, i am totally welcome you guys to the thread.
but seems like the rx8 member don't understand/accept the fact that VIP/aggressive look is the trend right now.
all the other forums also have the aggressive wheel thread, and most people have appreciated of what people have done to their car to make it aggressive.
i am here to be an example and try to explain what VIP/aggressive look really is.
the world is spinning, new idea or stuff comes across every second. just gotta accept it sometimes!

but this is the trend.
btw....you totally misunderstand. first of all, people stretch their tires for VIP/aggressive look, so no wide tires are necessary.
and if you had been to a track, you'll know wider tires are better, ofcoz anything wider than 275 i think is not necessary.
i think as long as our wheels are not sticking 2" out of the fender, its ok!

If anyone is modifying their car to impress/please other people you need to stop right now and re-evaluate your priorities. People enter and exit my life all the time, there's no reason for me to do something just for someone else's approval. All I need is my own, because it's MY life.
DISCLAIMER: I'm not trying to attack anyone with my post. I'm just stating my beliefs and mindset when it comes to why I do the things I do in life.

Your what saying makes sense, but then buy an rx8? it costs like ~30K new, you can get an evo for around the same price, and rape anything. Just look at Nasa TT classes AWD, and compare the times to the same RWD classes. Huge difference. Look at HKS's evo, pretty much sets track records every place it goes. So in your argument there is no reason to buy an rx8, cause its slow.
It's function right? setting laptimes? Even in RWD classes, rx8's are still slow as crap, unless you count autocross. So why buy them? lol
In the end of the day people do what they do to do what they do, if that makes any sense. lol

lol....all i'll say is i like the aggressive/VIP wheels style.
if you guys don't like it, its cool.
its not my job to help making you guys' car look nicer!!
btw....dont always be so extreme, not always negative offset means VIP look, 18X9.5 with +35 would gives an aggressive look already.
different cars use different spec.

And that's exactly why I try very hard not to judge what others do... people have to learn on their own. I've told my parents over and over that I hear what they say, but I don't listen to them... I prefer to learn things the hard way: by ******* up, losing money, and getting hurt.
