lol at all the driveway stuff, I learned how to drive slammed back in high school so it's never been a big deal for me, I never really have problems pulling into it but sometimes I get the angle wrong backing out and scrape a bit. There are some entrances in town I purposely avoid, I plan routes based on road conditions/hazards, I know all the trouble spots here in town, all the places where construction is going on, all the paint killers and rim killers, I even know a lot about quite a bit of other cities too, it's just too bad there's no profit to be made on useless info like that as I'd be baller if I could cash it in somehow

Make an app for it. Make it like the speed trap thing where other people can expand the knowledge base.

In all seriousness though, try this - angle so that when your front driver's side wheel is just touching the driveway. Now, draw an imaginary line from the front passenger wheel and rear driver's side wheel. This line would ideally be parallel with the curb/driveway 'line'. This angle should minimize scrapage both from the lip/bumper to the incline, as well as undercarriage scraping due to a sharp angle on top of the driveway.

Here is a high tech diagram I drew up to detail ideal precision angling:

Yes, you need to drive against traffic. Yes, you must try to block and/or hit oncoming pedestrians.

Hope this helps some of you!
I think this post should be its own sticky

SWEET BABY JESUS. Serious S2 stance. I think the S2 lines from the rear has a beefier looking stance than S1.

hmmm maybe it's my age finally getting to me but i don't see the point in cambering so much that the edge of your tires don't touch. Regardless of how the car behaves w/passengers, the argument of drivabilty goes right out the window. Imo the fact that it's an rx8 becomes irrelevant.

i suppose aside from that...the s2 looks wayyyy trendy. btw, the fronts look tucked from the pic

im looking to run a similar set up as that series 2. But 18x10 +18. Im just scared it wont be functional on the road. I plan on going turbo and im looking to get as much performance out of my wheels/tires while still looking pretty looking aggressive. Doing a bit of research about scrub radius and stuff right now but it seems like if you go that aggressive youre sacrificing performance for looks.

don't know enough about programming to do that, great idea though.

My car had worse camber than the nice S2 when I was aired out, and I did drive like that for a while here and there just to experience it, used to crack me up looking at it and seeing so much daylight, especially in the rear That's a clean ride, really like how the newer back bumpers look, makes me want to do some type of s2 rear conversion or something.

You aren't gonna be able to put much rubber on the road with that low of an offset without MAJOR fender mods and quite a bit of camber. I don't see there being much debate with that.

^ yea thats the thing. Do i go +18 offset with stretched tires or +38 with 265s. I hate decisions like these. The +18 would look sweet but i dont wanna run 225 on 10s.

haha i know J but what confuses me is some people say 18x10 +18 will be flush and some other people say 18x10 +38 will also look flush so like wtf i get confused.

At the end of the day probably gonna go +38 with 265s with 10mm spacers if anything

More rubber FTW

+18 is gonna poke FOR SURE. +38 will be dead on, maybe a little sunken. +33 is what would sit just right on my car. You will need to roll all the fenders and remove the bumper tabs.
