Moon: The lip actually sits on the oem undertray and the fitment is pretty snug. Tbh, when i first got the lip i snapped it on w/out any tape or bolts n' actually drove it up to 35mph w/out it dropping off (as to why i did that - i don't know, i'm just dumb like that sometimes )

I did eventually put two screws in on each side of the mounting points for the kit. I drilled into the front bumper @ the same place the oem air dam would bolt up. I also put double sided tape on the part of the lip that sits on the oem undertray just so it doesn't flap. My body shop also added some clips for support on the bottom of the kit too.

hope this helps

...if not, staple that bitch to the car.

Does it sit on the oem plastic undertray? if so, see about getting some automotive clips from an autozone/o'rielly's/pep boy's. It should help with the sagging. If not, see about maybe putting some bushings or 'spacers' on the mounting points of the lip kit on the side to make it a tighter fit. I've done this before with some of the ebay replicas n' it seemed to work out...

They are actually knock offs of the Miro Type 111's (which are similar to the BBS center mount racing wheels), not the Forgestars. Too much stretch for my taste. Drop that bish.

The entrance to my subdivision is a bitch. I can already hear the front scrape. I also think I managed to un-preload my rear a bit while having it up one corner at a time really high to roll the fenders. I haven't driven it beyond my driveway yet so it should settle.

Also, I played it a little too safe with the 245/40s. I think I could have fit more. Always next time.

Your scraping is due to soft suspension, not ride height.

It goes from flat to an immediate huge incline. Most people just don't leave when it snows.....and I'm not allowed to spend any more on my car for a few months due to liking to see my lady in the nude. I somehow convinced my wife that since I needed tires so I should get new wheels, too.

Mr. Pieper,

Please lower your car. Your ride height offends me.

Thank you,

A concerned rx8club member

I'll get around to it. I expected to get some ****. That's why it's passive aggressive.

Besides, I already spent the rest of this year's budget on exhaust and ignition stuff.

Has anyone else had luck with this? I bent the mounting point upward at about a 45 degree angle for the mounting of the bumper tab. Cut off the thick white plastic bit. Then took my heat gun to the slot in the bumper so it would bend easily as I tightened it down using a larger washer. I did cut off the corner of the black liner, though.

I ground it down with a file, the light, the tab and the liner.

The rear has actually settled back down a bit since I had it up.....but only on one side.
