I'm kinda curious about everyone's ride height (center of rim to bottom of fender). Can y'all post your ride height? With a picture too just to keep the thread going.
I don't have a picture (lol im a hypocrit) but I'm at 11 1/4" front and back

Wheels break, it happens. Doesn't have to do with the price of the wheels though. Check out this forged Cor wheel, something like $5k/set?

*Can be* is exactly right. When it comes to wheel manufacturing too many people see a specific technique and automatically assume those wheels are superior. Yes, typically forged wheels will be lighter than a cast wheel but there are too many variables at play to go much further than that. Raw materials, specific wheel design (even if two wheels appear the same to the layperson, there can still be design differences), quality control at the factory, etc.
To me, as long as a wheel legitimately passes VIA/JWL and comes from a manufacturer who will stand behind their product, there is no real issue running the wheels. Beyond the test requirements, who knows how 'strong' a wheel really is - there is too much talk from guys on the internet that don't really know what they're talking about.
I agree. In general, a forged Rays or BBS wheel would be the best way to go. Funny you include SSR though, who has many cast wheel options. On top of that, a couple of SSR's wheels were banned from sale in Japan for not legitimately meeting JWL standards. This explains the Type F blowout sale we saw 1-2 years ago, but I think I posted that in this thread back when it happened.

According to HRE forged can be stronger and lighter
Cast Wheels vs Forged Wheels | HRE Performance Wheels | Luxury Street Motorsport
(But there wheels weigh a ton. they are typically forged spun.)

It's okay, I'm down to ride an ostrich to work every day too. I wonder what the mileage is like.
I will post it up when worthy. I'm still on stock wheels & suspension, LOL. Have been waiting on coilovers, should be in my hands today or tomorrow, then the fun begins.

Yeah, any wheel can break, especially under severe conditions.

Exactly my point tilt. There is no "god send" set of wheels. Your paying for mostly a brand name amongst other key factors.
Like many things in life. Case in point is snap-on tools are considered to be the best. Yet the snap-on stuff still breaks.
Wait, that logic applies with ANYTHING mass-produced.
Juan that's a sick looking S2! I never was a fan of that color till now.
