why dont you just do not as wide of tires? 275 is really excessive. I ran 275/35 on an 19x10 +20 dropped only a couple inches on my coils and I had to run -6 camber to not rub.

yeah from the looks of the wheel he must have hit a pot hole. Stretched tires dont just explode, their must have been a bubble in them or something.

Just keep telling yourself that, hopefully it doesn't happen. Wheel probably bent when he hit the ground.

Pushing things to their extreme results in extreme consequences.

On that note... I'm gonna make another update to my thread. Guess I'll post a pic here too of my front wheel. 225/35 onto 18x11 0
See my build thread for the rest!

Found the background story on the Z, well 2 stories. From what I gather the owner claims the tire just went flat (probably debeaded)and tried to drive it to a friends. Other story is he bumped a curb going around a corner, lost control and the result you see there. Probably not enough contact patch to control it at higher speeds.

Finally lowered with BCBR coilovers.

Work 11R wheels, 18x9.5+30. Hankook tyres, 255/40/18. -1.8 degree camber.

this ******* is right. Although you wont be rubbing your fender, you will rub the inner guard. Just remove it to save yourself the headache and smell of burning/rubber plastic when you turn. Also, with that huge of a sidewall you'll probably rub the top park of the fender liner on dips and bumps in the road.

In regards to what? The tyre size or tyre quality? They're a heck load better than the Kumho KU31s I've been running previously.

I'm not getting much of a rubbing issue. The wheel well has been trimmed slightly so the front fender could be rolled. Haven't noticed any fender lining rubbing. I'm more worried about the sidemarkers popping out as that's where it's rubbing in those rare cases.

I've been lowered 2cm in the rear, and the fronts were lowered to match the rear's wheel gap.

Here are some more pictures after a good wash.

More what Dan said. Maybe the fact that you are nearly stock height will save you a lot of headaches.
