Of course the end result matters, that is common sense. But how much effort was placed into the end result increases the credit due. I rather see people try new colors and new ideas than not. Takes a lot more vision. But everyone has their own preference and thats what makes the world go round right.

Trying new colors and ideas doesn't take vision... that's like saying a 3 year old child coloring outside the lines has vision. What takes vision is actually making that "different" color or idea work.

I hope it didn't take you any amount of time to come up with that analogy because it failed to make any valuable point... I'm not quite sure what it was suppose to retract from the quoted post but the point made still stands.

That was as pointless of a post as the comment about modifying your car being about the "final result..." Since when is modifying a car not about the final result?? And since when do people go for a new/off the wall color with out "making" it work. Is that not the whole point of getting a new color, to try some new ideas and color schemes and make them work..

So yes, the ultimate goal is to make the new color scheme "work" and the ideas tie into a successful "final result."

Drama up in heeeeeeere.

Quick, post a bunch of aggressive fitment cars!

One of my favorite na's. Simple, not over the top, well rounded. Could use some better wheels but hey, I wouldn't mind it

The final result does not mean its always going to end up looking good or people should award credit for it. The final result tells a lot about your taste and you knowing what the hell you are doing... I think you are missing the point here...

By the way you are putting it, if my final result was putting a lot of effort into decorating my car nicely with dog **** does it mean it deserve people awarding credit for what I did? Well same with trying something new... not everything you try will work, and if it does work then your final result will automatically receive props from people without you even saying a word about it.

ok lets get back to the nice pics!

I love miatas!!!

No there's nothing to get. I understand that concept probably better than most. The thing I was commenting on is why would one assume I'd be referring to doing what ever the hell you felt like throwing at your car? Of course I would be referring to it turning out nice in the end. I was just confused as to what point anyone was trying to make when there was no point to be made in the first place. The comment made is that more props goes to the guy who puts forth more effort. If he is getting props in the first place its obviously nice as is but in comparison to another car with less done to it why wouldn't he deserve it? Some times less is more, but some times even when less = more its not enough and it gets old.

@ tilt, there's no drama lol, just passing the time. There is a local guy with an RX8 slammed on some sort of blingin VIP styled wheels but he's always driving by and I'm not quick with the camera phone to snag a pic. I'll try and get one. Fitment is really nice and doesn't look as bad as one would think.

Sorry if any typos, trying to get use to this Droid phone. A lot different than my Storm.

TE37 like the FNs are pretty played but in concaved fitments they are still very uncommon.

This guy's local to me too. He wants too much for em but its tempting. I wanna stick with some Rays wheels this time around but not sure which ones.

This car is a waste, IMO. The tires are actually skinnier than OEM tires. Car MADE for handling, with much much lower potential than a stock s2k. Perhaps you didn't realize, but just look at how skinny those rear tires are, its silly. Tire sizing reminds me of a certain white Vegas rx8 on the forum...

I have to disagree with you entirely - FN's are an absolute dime a dozen. I've gotten over 10 trade offers of FN's on various wheels, they are seriously SO common. many people don't like TE's but I see them as a classic, somewhat of a benchmark for performance wheels.

Sorry man but I have to call BS. Derek lives down the road from me and I live in OC. Last I checked you were in norcal. Don't think you could mix up two owners of white evoX's w/ orange 18x10.5 +15 TE's either. Lastly, I talked to him and they're actually sold. Nice try though

Lol, hopefully this is sarcasm. They need the bucket seats because those tiny tires will break loose in a straight line given the s2k's oversteer tendencies!

Not sure what you are calling BS on, I never said that there were just as many TE37s around as there are FNs but neither wheel is "rare" and both are quite common. Especially up here. I've had a set before on my drag car (bronze Te37s) It also doesn't help that the Rota knock offs are popular too.

The point I made is even as common as the wheels are, their concaved counterparts are less common. Period. Point stands.

And if you are talking about this guy:

http://forums.evolutionm.net/sale-wh...nter-caps.html

As far as the thread goes they are still for sale. My home town is in NorCal but I spend a lot of time in SoCal. In essence he is local because it is nothing for me to pick up and go check the wheels out or look at them.

So again, wtf are you talking about sir?

You silly goose.

Oh and there are about 2-3+ sets of similar sized orange TE37s FS on that forum alone. Even that rare color/concaved combo isn't very "rare" on one single board. A set of 18X10.5 +22s just sold not too long ago but they were silver and about $500-600 cheaper than the orange ones. If the orange CE28s didn't sell so fast I would for sure grabbed those. Up in the air about the TE37s regardless of if they are from him or one of the other people on the board or even a vendor.

You said you were local, the guy is clearly not local, in the typical sense. I lol'd and got carried away because I happened to talk to him on the phone earlier - that is what I was calling BS on. I suppose some might consider the same state "local" but .

I wouldn't consider te's and fn's within the same realm, exactly. Both are popular but fn's are very very popular. Spend 10 minutes over at zilvia.net/f/ and you'll get what I'm talking about. They're nicely styled wheels, lightweight, and cheap - its a good reason they're so popular.

I saw those orange CE's for $1700, that was indeed a steal. As far as these other ads, I haven't seen them. Pretty odd considering I'm a regular over there but hey, I've been wrong before. I don't see any 18x10.5 +22 TE's selling for $1500-1600. If so then damn, I'd love to see the link. That there is a bargain!

Next time you're in socal, hit up the socal lounge. It's often enough, apparently - I'm sure we'd all love to marvel at your car!

Anyways, I fell victim to the off-topic-monster. Whoops...

yeah the good part is the oil pan isnt in harms way so you can go all the way to the frame, unlike 240s, when they are slammed you risk busting an oil pan
