Aggressive Wheel Fitment Thread
#1951
I finally decided to pull the trigger on a set of Volk CE28N Genesis wheels but I have no clue what offset to order.
I want a deep lip so that I can get the spokes concave like the pic below. They will be 18x9.5 on all 4 corners. I don't mind rolling my fenders but I do not want to pull them. I also plan to install Tein S-Tech's so it will have a 1" drop.

So I have been looking at another set of wheels to pick up cheap and quickly(1 of my rims was damaged in transport of my car), so I want to get a new set quick, and found out a buddy of mine back home has a set of newer Mustang Wheels cheap.
18x10, +22mm offset, no idea on centerbore w/ a 5x114.3 BP. Would these with either a 245/40 or 255/35 best be suited for a set of 2" drop springs. Also, which tire setup would require the least amount of fender work?

Guys i have a question that seems that only you all could answer. i've done a bit of research on the forums and off the forums and i've talked to a lot of people as well who track their 8s and im still lost as to what to put on my car. I found good reason to not stay with 18" size, but I do like the 18" look on my 8 but it is hard to stay light at the same time. I have ordered a set of stance coilovers that i have not yet recieved. I was looking to go a little wider, either 8.5 or 9, but i didnt want to go staggered or roll my fenders or pull them. So i was hoping you guys could point me in the right direction. Also i didnt know what size tires i should run.
My current thought was 17x9 enkei rpf1s with a 35 offset or 18x8.5 enkei rpf1s with a 40 offset.
any help would be greatly appreciated.

To be honest I LOVE my 5zigens... My car handles like a dream with them on. and they make the roads in NYC feel smooth with a fat 45/tire. With that said.
I'm going to have to be the one to make Rota's COOL... Because unlike some people. Some of us just dont have that VOLK money or the roads to drive them on. I could by a pair, but its just not worth it since I already have track rims.
I want a inexpensive wheel with a super aggressive look that if I scuff them or crack them---then so what. I'll by a replacement. 19in wheels dont last long in the Bronx. So thats why I'm making the decision.
My old wheels i'm working on fixing them for some shows. and I want this new pair for other shows and as dailys.
So with that said again who wants to flame =] lol.

The main flaw I see is that if you are looking for "show" rims, you'll never get rep from rocking fakes. I'm sure you know that though. Whatever your choice is, I'm sure it'll look good.
