Anyone have the GoodYear Eagle GT's?

Hey guys, I'm in a bit of a spot- I have a flat tire and need to get it repaired. My car is currently at the Manhattan Mazda dealership (towed from Jersey in the middle of the night), and they're trying to charge me $507 for two S-03 Bridgestones.

Anyway, I live in NY now, so I'd rather get some all-seasons. I'm going to order a couple off of Tire Rack to replace the back tires (fronts still have plenty of tread due to my not having the time to rotate them), and I saw these:

They're new and have no reviews, so I was wondering if any of you guys have tried them? I know that it's wishful thinking to try to get tires to last until it snows on this car, but I figure maybe if I baby them..

Really? Nobody? It looks pretty sweet so I think I'll go ahead with buying two. We'll see.

Dude, 1987 called and wants its tires back. Seriously though, you're gonna mix and match high performance tires with all-season crap?

For a few bucks less than the Eagles take a look at the Sumitomo HTR Z III. And buy a beater for a grand to drive on the 20 days during winter that there's actual snow on the ground.

usually its the front tires that wear out first due to turning and braking, unless you do a lot of burning out.

do you do a lot of burning out?

Sumitomo's are inexpensive and most seem to be happy with them. Kumho Esctas seem popular as well.

You have a good point. I just moved up here from NC this past winter, and I couldn't believe how quickly my tires turned to skis with even a dusting of snow. I was planning before on getting a second set of tires and just swapping them out for the winter months, but since I live in the Big Apple, there's no space to store them. Those Sumitomos look pretty good.. do you have them?

*No, I don't burn out a lot. I've never had a car where the drive wheels weren't the hardest on the tires- I just haven't rotated these at all since getting them.

I've owned so many tires over the years (currently goodyear GS-D3). I've loved every set of Kumho's I've owned. I do not love these Goodyears, will not buy goodyears again.

Thanks guys- I ended up talking them into selling me the RE050 Pole Positions for the same price. I'll probably end up buying some cheap 17's and putting snow tires on them for the winter months.

Let's see how you like the RE050's PP's.
That's what I currently have and like them so far.

Yeah if I ever get my car back... it's taken Manhattan Mazda 4 days so far, and they say my car should be done tomorrow morning. I know changing two tires is pretty complicated... but man.
