The konig kolors series are alright, not too expensive and look pretty good, although they only come in neon orange and green, and not in our bolt circle size.

I wanted some lime green ones for my silver 8

So are you trying to stay within stock class offset constraints? Your stock wheel should be 18x8 +50. Or are you going to 17"?

That will be a tough one. You most likely would want to look for a Subaru 2005 STI wheel. I think I might have a few options for cheap ones but problem is the centerbore as well as diameter might be 17 and I don't think that will work for stock class.

Yes to my knowledge, in our region, you would. It would need to be same diameter and width. Offset however can be varied by approx 5mm. Therefore if stock is 18x8 +50, you can move down to a +45.

Now if you're looking to just have fun and learn then don't worry about it.

Other limitations for stock clas are:

1. You can upgrade your dampers, but retain stock springs. With FD for example, you can get Koni yellows which have a variable perch, therefore allowing you to lower the vehicle with the stock springs.

2. Stock Rear Bar, but can upgrade the front bar.

3. Must retain factory catback, except you can upgrade the "mufflers".

4. Street Tire, DOT Approved. lol.

I think I've pretty much listed what you can and can't do. Anything not mentioned must remain stock. lolz.

Like I said tho, if you're going out to just have fun and compete against your own times to measure your improvement then don't worry about these limitations. Make sure you don't look at your competition, that's all. It can get depressing.

Often, people will mod the car and just learn. Then later purchase a different vehicle they have researched to be succesful in stock class with those minor mods. Like and S2000. hehe.

You can put on any catback exhaust, but the exhaust from the engine to the cat must remain stock. You can change out some wear items like brake pads, etc.

Here are the 2005 rules: http://www.scca.org/Solo/Index.asp?IdS=0675BD-2C75040&x=050|070&~=

But like Endless said, if you are just out to have fun, look at the STU class as more modifications are allowed. Like I run 17x8 wheels (illegal in stock) in STU and it saves me a bunch of money in tire costs and I can drive to and from the events on the same tires.
