Anyone rolling on Federal SS-595 Tires

I was wondering if anyone was using these tires on their RX-8? I was thinking of getting a set once I upgrade my Rims this spring.

I would never buy a 'federal' brand tire.

I may be getting these as soon as my new wheels come in. Looking to go 245/40/18 and 265/35/18. I could not find alot of reviews except for some Mini Cooper forum members that seemed to have liked them. Which tires did you go with?

I would not buy Federal Tire which is made in China and Taiwan when other inexpensive proven brand like Korean's Kumho and Hankook are available. Maybe I'll try in a few years, but not right now.

this is digging up an old thread kinda, but yeah I have these on my 8. Great drift tire, and work solid for grip as well, but you gotta get them warm to get full use of them. Good in rain, slips on sand. Treatwear is great, driven about... 6k on mine, and they are still in very good shape (i dont do burnouts, and only rarely push the back end out on quiet roads). I paid $200 for a full set, well worth the price.
