I guess through that thick OEM seat you can feel a nut backing itself off. Your *** must be so sensitive you should work at the California Seismograph Station.
Like your car rex just not following some of those statements.

This has been some good information. My main concern is rolling (have rolled on a track before as a passenger). As the RX-8 is new to me, I have not yet learned its abilities/limits. I realize that with 50/50 weight balance and the nice wide tires (stock), that I have to really be killing it to roll the car.
I guess I am just an over-cautious scaredicat, but having rolled before, it may just have warped my perspective.

JDM YO! I did appreciate the effort he put into his car for looking nice. But jamming about how its a "Time Attack" and yet no picture of it actually attacking anything but a crowd of teenagers outside a movie theater.

So I had to come make a comment here.
With all the AutoEXE bracing and autopower 2inch race bar I dont notice a big difference. When I autocross will I? Season is over so wait till spring. Oddly the freeway driving isnt as harsh anymore.
Our Boeing Touge road locally had one day of dry pavement but only had the bar in. I was to busy driving to actually notice anything. I was also harnessed in and my sparco hides a lot cause of the sling style of the butt.
My friend with a crazy caged MX6 (those on mazdas247 know him) rode/drove my car and his comments were. Your car is as stiff/ridged as a car with coilovers on but not as harsh.
Over all reflections; Did it stiffen my car up anymore? Prob but I cant really notice anything. Was it worth it? Sure it was, epeen value is over 9000. The car jocks heads so much now.

What he said..
I just got back from Robeling with a stock 04. It was my first event. Only issue, other than a few elements of the green group, was the stock brakes stink when you hit them hard at 125 (end of straight). They work fine, they just smell like burnt brakes. Never faded though. Do follow the brake faq on fluid though. That can easily be the weak link.

OK, Input Number 2.
Replaced pads with Hawk HPS, and got rid of the "new" mazda brake fluid for super blue. weak links are now shocks. I have heard seabring is rough, so too stiff might be bad. I live near orlando. I am not ready for seabring yet, but the Dark Side events at Roebling are great, and it is not that much further. Roebling has only one wall, and you have to follow a procedure to hit it. There is a big Georgia RX8 group there that is great. Next one of those is November. There are other events up there as well.
As several said, the car is great like it is, just make sure the brake fluid is in good shape (less than a year old).
send me an email or PM if you want to talk. We cannot be that far apart.

I run an essentially stock RX8 (just Progress sway bars) on R-compounds (NT-01) with Cobalt track pads at Sebring in the advanced group. I turn a 2:43 lap time regularly.
Because they can make money selling unnecessary stuff. You don't need braces for Sebring, the RX8 frame is pretty stiff by most street car standards. There are a lot of other areas I would spend money on. HPS or HPplus pads won't get it at Sebring unless you are a novice.
I can put my RX-8 in a slide easily on NT-01s at the track, though that slows me down and I see no reason to initiate one intentionally. If you don't slow down at the end of the straight no tire/suspension in the world is going to keep you in control.
Don't do anything except put fresh brake fluid in for your first HPDE. Listen to the instructor and improve your skills. Next time you can evaluate whether you need better fluid, pads, tires, suspension, etc. The only thing I would like in my RX-8 at Sebring is another 50 ft/lbs of torque.
Nobody likes being stiff all over the place... there is a time and a place.
I have not had the RX8 on the track yet. A stiff platform would be better for Sebring's track, it seems. I do not have great experience and have only been on Sebring's track as a passenger (ride-along) in a track-prepped fox Mustang.
If all of that underbody bracing does not help, then why is it all made and, apparently, bought?

...With my NT01s I couldn't break through a corner if I wanted to. The car just doesn't have the power to spin out a car that planted on tires that sticky through just about any corner I threw it at. It makes quite a difference of you do any racing. People who say it changes nothing are the same people who put it on their car only because it is pretty....
