BF Goodrich KDW2's

Same, been taking mine to the track for nearly 5 autocross events and theres easily 50% tire life and been top of my STX class consistently. They "seem" to make noise but like I have to pay attention for it. Great tires and will recommend them to anyone.

sorry for bumping such an old thread, but atleast i put the search bar to use!
Tread life on these I hear are great? can anyone back that up with some actual mileage they got from these? my buddy has them on his 350z and i really wanna pick up a set for my 8 and i could care less about the road noise. if i wanted a quiet ride id get a smart car.

Milage will vary for several different reasons. Camber and toe alignment settings will impact tread life. How a person drives. The type of surface they drive on. The KDW2 tires come with a 300 tread wear rating. I had them and will not buy them again. They were loud. Shoulders were a bit soft. They were great in the rain and provided good grip in warmer weather. They suck in cold weather. I believe they say to not use them sub 40˚ but I could be wrong on that.

yes i know mileage would vary, just trying to get an estimate on the normal daily driving and some spirited. and like i said i dont care if they are loud, i had a jeep wrangler and they cant be louder then 33's roaring down the road. ya the tires may suck in colder weather but then again they are a summer tire.

yes, but for the same price? ive only had one type of tire on my car and i really dont even know which direction to begin looking in
but can you not agree
I might just buy 2 for some pictures from the rear lol

I have had 2 sets of these that came on cars I bought. an brand new srt-4 and the rx8. hated them on both cars. I was on a budget when I had the srt-4 and replaced them with kumo spts and those were better... now days there are so many better options at that price range.

from my experience with these the tread life has been great.
I've put about 2.5 summers on them and there is still quite a bit of tread left, I'll easily get one more summer out of them.
I replace my winter set of tires with these around April/May and leave them on as long as possible, usually up to very late November or the first of December.
My 8 is my daily driver and my driving is a 50-50 mix of highway and city.

So I'm starting to look ahead now at replacing the KDW 2's sometime this summer.
The reviews I'm reading on the BF Goodrich Rivals are nothing short of amazing!
The drawbacks I see with replacing my set with these (keep in mind they will be my daily drivers) are treadwear; down from 300 to 200 (ouch), and the grip will not be as good in the rain.
