BFGoodrich G-Force KDW2 NT
Does anybody own these?
i want to know how good they are. they seem like a good deal.
i want a tire that fits the stock rim which is a 225/45-18
i want a second pair of tires so i can have a daily driving street pair and a autocrossing pair. so yeah. i was looking around and i think these are the best i can get for the tire size i want. if anyone knows of a tire thats good for autocrossing and is sized 225/45-18 let me know

Really good all around street tire. Good balance of dry handling and performance for price. Very capable in the wet, but don't try them in snow. Very high quality manufacturing. Like 'em for all that.
Not the hot ticket for maximum performance.

i've got them, 245's though. more grip than stock. a little twitchy when wet or oily roads (noticed it in 1st gear 90 degree turns mostly) but that's true of any tire. overall love them. seem louder than stock, but i also lowered my car so i'm not sure which is the bigger culprit. can't beat the look the of the tread either!!

Personally, if you're looking for a dual use street radial tire that offers good performance, I'd go with the Yokohama Advan Neova AD07 if you have money to spend and the Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 if you're on a bit of a budget. I prefer 225/45 to 245/40 for the better feedback and response characteristics, but I know not everyone here shares that view. Nonetheless, both of my suggestions should offer more performance than the KDW2s. This is especially true for tracking as the KDW2s have a history of chunking and so I wouldn't recommend them for any sort of tracking duty. The Advan Neovas are just about the finest performance street radials available, but they're expensive.

Better do some searches on this board if that is all you heard. As I stated above, the sidewalls are soft. I do not like the feel of these tires and do not have a good sense of when they will break loose. There are better tires for auto crossing.

the sidewalls on my Falken... dont know the type, but yeah. them, the sidewalls are soft and when i go hard into a turn i can feel the tire give way and just ride on its side just about. if you overinflate just a bit it drops that symptom some.
what i want in a street tire thats good on a track. i dont want R compound tires. just street tires that work like a charm
