Question BILSTEIN Shocks with Stock Springs?

I have a deal waiting for me for a very good price on slightly used Bilstein HD shocks (all 4) with only 2000 miles on them. i currently have stock shocks and stock springs with about 120xxx miles. I recently took my car in to get the AC looked at and as part of the checkup they told me my rear shocks were starting to leak? (i guess wear out?) so i decided why not upgrade while i'm at it?

Is this a good combo? I use this for Daily Driving with some spirited driving (freeway onramps, passing, racing the occasional suby lol) and would like to autoxross once i have a few more wear-n-tear items all fixed up.

thanks for the imput guys!

I just recently changed stock suspension fol Bilsteins B6 and left stock springs. Overall impression is that I gave up a bit of comfort in a low speed for better ride quality and control in higher speed and faster cornering. The car became a bit more sporty. Even though I am driving on a quite bad roads I am happy with the setup. Note: I believe for track use you would have to go for something more radical, but I have no experience with track driving so ....what I know hehe

hmm... interesting... when you say you gave up a bit of comfot at low speeds are you saying that its a bumpier/stiffer ride? i'm ok with that if thats the case... do you feel they were worth having/better than stock? i can get some stock ones again if there isn't much of a difference...

the car is more firm than on the stock and stick better to road at high speed or cornering, that is my subjective feeling. Having the experience I would change it again, however do not expect something completely different. However if you have high milage on the old parts than any change will be improvement.

Ps: this is the 3rd time responding...the bloody connection was falling down all the time hehe
