I know this is a somewhat old post but im about to order with offsets close to yours.
19x8 w/+35mm
19x9.5 w/+35mm offsets (I have to roll the fenders so they say)
I wanted 40-45mm in the back but TSW doesn't offer it.
First off do you think I have to roll the fenders if lowered 1 inch? Second can you possible post side pix so I know for sure they won't stick out at all from the car itself?
Thanks

I don't have any side pics, but will try to take some for you after I get back from Japan next week.

[QUOTE=FE3P]The front should clear with no problem. The rear will be close, but a lot depends on your tire size. I'm using a 275/30 and it doesn't hit the fender. Initially, when I would hit a bump while turning hard, the rear would barely rub the rear of the plastic inner fender splash guard. After I trimmed it slightly, I haven't had any problems since. If your car is lowered 1 inch, you might be OK unless you have backseat passengers.

I can live with trimming the inner fender splash guard.! And what the heck. If it rubs more than I like i'll have to invest in some adjustable coilovers!
Thanks for taking the time to respond.
Take some RX8 pix in Japan too

Yea I have to say those rims look really good, I have a tit RX-8 and ordered my wheels about two weeks ago.... So you know like I do volk says it takes 60 to 90 days to make these wheels..... But I ordered the mercury Silver 19x8.5 and 19x9.5 .... I going with 275/30 on the back and wondering with my offsets being 40mm in the back with they rub... I having it lower when the wheels are put on.... Another question I had is about how many Inches is your front and rear polished lip on those offsets..... thanks.... Very nice 8 which as I read through here everyone has said it quite a bit.... Turbo will be here in about 2 more weeks.. Can't wait... to bad I'm in iraq right now and can't drive it but I will have my friend take pictures of the turbo setup and the wheels......so eveyrone has an idea of what the mercury silver look like on the TIT 8... later

RJsTitRx-8,
Thanks... Great choice on wheels!
A 275/30 with a +40mm off-set should clear with no problem, even if your 8 is lowered.
The front (19x8.5 +34) has a 50mm polished lip. The rear (19x9.5 +36) has a 69mm polished lip. A 19x9.5 +40 has a 56mm polished lip.
I hope you return from Iraq soon!
Thanks... Great choice on wheels!

\\Konig\\,
These wheels where not custom made, but they had to be special ordered from Rays (Volk Racing) with a black face. Unfortunately, black is not a normal stocking color, but I'm pretty sure that they can still be special ordered that way.
I hope this helps!
You can send me a PM if you have any more questions.

Tell me what you think about your Toyos after a year. Noise, handling, etc. I am still debating on having them put on in exchange for the Falken ST-115 that are on there now. Thanks in advance.

I have 275/35-18 tires on 9.5" +45mm wheels and I will have a little rubbing when people are in the back seat. I can't imagine +40 not having a little more. However, we are talking about a 1/4" here so minor fender work will remove any rubbing that does happen.

Wow, this thread is still going!..but with the way that car looks Im not that surprised
I know its not on a RX8, but I love the toyo's. Its a great overall tire and the performance and longevity are two of its main highlights..
Noise- not much of an issue..there are many louder tires on the market
Handling - great in the dry and even in the wet (i came from yokohama AVS Sports)

I don't have much experience with Falken's, but I would definitely recommend the Toyo's.

do they still sell Volk Racing SF Challenges in black? I looked around the internet but came up with nothing. Is it some sort of special order thing that you have to do at a store? Thanks for any info.
