after waiting what seems like forever, i finally got my wheels and tires :D
wheels: ro_ja r2-5, carbon black, 18x8 +47
tires: bfg g-force kdw2's, dimensions same as stock

Very nice Echo. That is close to the setup I want. Where did you purchase them and how much? I do think I will probably go 245/40 though but let us know what you think of the BFG's.

i found the wheels through importhookup.com they have a fairly good selection of wheels, from volks to buddyclub. call vick for a quote when you find something you like at 888-568-2746. i paid $1890, shipped, for the wheels, lugs, and center caps. it took about 6-7 days buy ups ground from socal to me in wa state. make sure someone is home to sign for it, though.
i agree that the 245/40's are probably the better way to go, however, this is my first major purchase for any auto, so i didn't want to mess anything up. good luck and post pics!
