Check out Cobalt...they have many different compounds from full race pads to the occasional autocross pad. http://cobaltbrakes.com/compounds/

Ok, well i think im gonna go with the Hawk Ceramics... Cobalt cost a **** ton lol... ill tell ya how they feel Jedi when i get em on... Btw what color should i paint my Calipers? Red or white? idk about red since it seems kinda like a cheap brembo brakes but white might get dirty too fast... lol any suggestions?

^I think you misunderstood what he was saying...he was saying painting the stock calipers red would look like cheap Brembos. Not that Brembos were cheap looking themselves...

I sure have. You gotta be really careful on fleabay when it comes to brakes.
Took me 2 months to recover 75% of a $200 rotor deal gone bad... and all I've got to show for it is a set of rotors that won't fit on an RX-8. I should track down what they actually would fit on. I could probably recoup all my losses if I could sell them in good conscience.

^I only speak from past experience...I have run HAWK pads with much dissatisfaction, I have run others also but none compare to the Cobalts I have now...XR2's in the front and GTS's in the rear. And to point out Cobalt pads are the best pads on the market right now, they are used by every major racing series in the US from NASCAR to Grand-Am.

So it sounds like Hawk Ceramic are a good choice for regular driving. Has anyone actually compared Hawk Ceramic to stock pads in terms of braking distance?

Haven't tried any of the aforementioned pads, but I will put a word in for Axxis Ultimates. They dust quite a bit, but have improved initial bite and are more resistant to fade than the stock pads. They are a good spirited/street pad.
