Brembos and back plate

Well I had some brembos fitted a month or so back but ever since iv had a rattly grindy noise comin from there so I had a look and the guys have cut and bent the back plate really badly.
I know it needs modding slightly but they cuts right the way down in 2 places then bent it right back so it was hitting the coliovers when I turned.
Anyway my question is does anyone have a diagram or a pic of how the plate should look after its cut.

Yeah someone else suggested that I was just afraid it protected the disc from stuff of the road like stones and general crud.

If you don't autocross at a national level then you can just take the entire thing off. It's legal to cut some of it for autox, but illegal to take the whole thing off.
