My dealership is giving a pretty good deal on winter tires for the stock rims...

I will get to choose between Bridgestone Blizzak LM 22 or LM 25

I have searched the web trying to figure out which would be better since I'll be getting them for the same price (although at many places the 25s are 15 to 30 dollars more).

All I can figure out is the LM 25s are newer and uni-directional while the LM 22s are omni-directional

can anyone tell me which would be better?

also can someone explain the advantage of omni or uni directional tires

When I ordered my snow tires, I originally asked for LM25s since they're supposed to be a newer model. But the shop I ordered mine from has both 22 and 25s and he recommended I go with the 22s since the new 25s have a stiffer carcass and sidewall and would ride harsher with a slight increase in dry handling. Since I'm after winter performance not track tires, I opted for the 22s with the softer tire. Not sure if the shop was BSing me to clear their stock of 22s or something but in any case, that's the info I was told.
I think it's easier to rotate your tires if you got omni directional tires and you don't need to dismount them from the wheels to rotate?
