Bridgestone Potenza RE-01R

Does anyone have any experience with these tires? Performance, comfort, treadwear, etc.
Thanks

My brother runs these on his STi at the track. His times have come down considerably since switching from the Falken Azenis to these.

He also says the treadwear is awesome.

He has never talked about comfort or noise levels, but I don't think ha cares about either as long as he is fast, and can use the tires for street and track.

I have these tires, I love them! Great grip over OE. i am running 245/45/18, so with the taller sidewall, it's drivers a lot smoother then it should. Treadwear is great, but then again I do not drive it that hard.

If you're not driving it hard, why do you even have them?

They are a great tire. I had a set for a while, 245-40-18, great grip and a decent ride. However, the noise on the freeway was a bit excessive imho.

I replaced them with the Michelin Pilot PS2, 255-40-18, this is the best street tire I have even been on. Ride quality is awesome , super quite, and great grip..... Just $$$$$$

They are the best street tires you can buy. They hold heat very well, and grip amazingly. Only street tires I can think of that are better are the RE11's but they are not sold in US. The RE01'r have a 140 tread rating, they suck tread wise, road noise is high.

these tires are great! after many launch practices they do not heat up very much.. i had some yokohomas and they wre crap they only last 15K 17K miles like the stock ones.. these have hel up pretty well!

Ive had then since 30K miles and i now have 45K miles and i have 7/32nds tread left..

highway noise is awesome compared to my old tired and the ride is smoother

245/40/18

havent tried the michelin.. i got these tires for 490 bucks brand new for all of them.. helps working for firestone.. i quit but i stillhave friends that are manaegers there that can hook me up!

great tire . does not heat up much, tons of dry grip. also supposed to have very good wet grip, but i have no experience with them in the wet. road noise will progressively get louder as the tire wears, but it is no where as annoying as the yoko parada's or ES100. those thing droned l-o-u-d on the freeways.
