Buying brake rotors/pads on ebay

Has anyone purchased brake pads and rotors off ebay? Does anyone recommend a cheap but reliable source on ebay or elsewhere. I am low on budget and will need to replace all 4 rotor soon.

Also my car is a sports model, I believe they are different from standard. Can someone confirm this as well.

Sorry for a noobie question, its been awhile since ive been on rx8club... was out of town for a year left my car to my younger brother who destoryed most of it lol

I wouldn't suggest purchasing rotors or pads from ebay sources only due to possible fitment issues. I've got no experience to back this up but ebay tends to deal in more "universal" parts sources. These sellers will typically give you zero support should you have any problems.

If you need to purchase lower budget pads I'd look into Autozone or similar style pads. Many pads come with lifetime warranties or can be exchanged if you have problems. I would also suggest going with factory rotors.

Brakes are serious business so while I can appreciate you being on a low budget, if you end up with busted brakes or worse yet...brakes that fail you'll be in even worse shape.

Be sure to make your younger brother pay for it too!

Try rockauto.com. The Centric brand is good and is relatively cheap.

If your on a tight budget, then you could try a brake shop called Just Brakes. Just did mine on my other car and no problem so far. They replaced all 4 pads and rotors (not sure what brand) for $500 including labor and parts.

Here is the website, check it out... http://www.justbrakes.com/

I had the receipt, but lost it somewhere (not an organize person...lol). Anyway, need to find it for reference. I remember, they use a brand name, just forgot what it is.
