caliper paint

so,
i got new wheels, that i like. yes i know they look like the old rx7 wheels, but they are light and did not cost a bunch of money.

problem is you can see everything behind the wheel now. the rust on my rear rotors never really bothered me before.

well i go to by some paint for the rotors and i find some hi temp orange paint. have never liked all the other caliper paint.

this is what happened. you can be honest, as i am not sure if i like it.

beers

well, I can't really say if i like. try painting both pieces of the caliper and taking a pic right from the side. Is there such thing as an orange glass paint or is your paint somewhat "wet"? cuz orange definitely stands out with your car but doesn't look like its "WA-BAMM"! I can't tell from this pic though.

I agree with NgoRX8 and say you might try painting the other peice of the caliper. I think the orange is so close to the red from a distance that it doesn't look out of place, but the "WA-BAMM" isn't there. I used the DupliColor kit in red on my SS and I can honestly say I am not all that fond of it either. I think I am going to go black soon. Just my .02

I think you should definetly put some gloss on it, the paint looks too bland/dull or maybe it's just the picture.

swoope, we have a saying here in Australia for that.......I'm not sure if you are familiar with it.

Those calipers stick out like dogs *****.

Man, you need to whip out the silver enamel and castrate that puppy.

being honest...that set of rims does not look good on the 8. if cost is an issue, what's wrong with saving your money for now and keeping the stock rims on.
