TX

I bought these after i saw the orginal post, but I'm getting cold feet about actually putting them on because of the size/handling difference. I know this is the wrong place, but since it is on topic, if anyone is interested in purchasing a set of the all silver 19's in the DFW area, let me know.

Do you do a lot of track runs? AutoCross events? Dragstrip runs?

I personally don't think there is a truly discernible performance difference unless you're really pushing the limits of your car. For daily driving, it's all placebo effect in my opinion. I'm not an expert or anything either, but I think that unless you regularly track or autox your car, performance loss is not a reason to pass on them.

No- its not so much about autocross and drag strips, but I had a heavier and wider set of rims before and I hated the way the car felt. I doubt actual performance numbers change that much, but I could tell there was a difference in the way the car rode, and I didnt like it, it didn't feel as "nimble" in my opinion.

Again, I am not an expert on the subject by any means, but I don't think my car feels any less nimble with the new wheels. In fact, it feels more nimble to me - but I also have a Nitto NT555 tires on them, while I have Goodyear F-1 All-Season tires on my 18" OEMs, so it's difficult to pinpoint differences really.

I will say that I have noticed the ride is a little bit more stiff than it was, but it's not awful by any stretch. I'm not trying to discourage you or doubt you, just pointing out that to my amateur evaluation skills, the difference is negligible. And seriously, they just look so damn good

Of course, if you do want to sell the 19s, it shouldn't be too hard. People seem to like them a lot and there seems to be a shortage.

^^^hmm all I see is red X's, try hosting them through photobucket.com

btw... as yeah has said a few times... the handling is not a big difference.... like I have said in previous posts... if you not going to race the car it doesnt matter... the car still handles amazing... also it depends on what tires you go with.. just like any wheel

originally I ordered the tires from Vulcantire.com, but when they were still out of stock I went to discounttire.com and they matched the price.

Wider tires may cause the steering to feel gummy and less responsive causing a less "nimble" feeling. My 9.5 rpf1s had that effect but I know performance wasn't downgraded
