So I am starting to seriously consider some new springs - any recommendations? I have been thinking about it for a while, and assuming I can get a decent deal on installation (how much would it be typically, anyone ballpark it for me?), I think I can swing it without too much issue.
I'm leaning toward Eibachs at the moment, because that is the name I am most familiar with more than anything else. I don't want anything too extreme, because my 8 is my daily driver, but I'd like to get it a little bit lower and be able to take those on ramps even a little bit faster!

Tom, how much do those drop? I look them up on Fluid and I think it's 1.8 front and 1.2 rear, is that right? I think that might be a bit too much for me. I'm thinking along the lines of 1 to 1 1/4 front and 3/4 to 1 rear. Don't get me wrong, your car looks great with that drop, just a bit too much for my area I think.

And about installation would be...Well...Do it yourself! It's very easy to do man, and its always good to learn how to do something new. Just get a local to help you out, there are many DIY's over the forums that will help you. You'll just need to rent a spring compressor from AutoZone. If you have any more questions about them, send me a PM.

The eibach spring rates havent changed.... they are the same as mine!
http://eibach.com/cgi-bin/htmlos.exe...67079600029205
you can find them pretty cheap on eBay and other sites...... as for installation it depends on where you go... I would say between $200 and $300

Yeah 1.7 f .7 rear and its funny with the stock springs and having the speaker box
the car is taller in the rear with the new tein s-tech on .ride is comfortable doesnt bounce off the bumpstops unless you get really aggresive. traction controll doesnt come on as soon either.
thanks.yeah,yeah you were.

ok.... I will break it down for you guys
R-Magic Front Lip (was painted from R-Magic) - 55,900 JPY = $590 USD
R-Magic Side Skirts - 70,500 JPY = $744 USD
R-Magic Rear Under Spoiler - 54,700 JPY = $577 USD
R-Magic Eyelids (was painted from R-Magic) - 22,300 JPY = $235
Total in parts - $2146 (not including Mazdaspeed Spoiler)
You can get the parts from Japanparts.com or contact Brice at fluidmotorsports.com he may be able to help you.
I paid roughly $1500 in paint work and body work for my car. Buy keep in mind, I debadged my front bumper and also did a two-tone paint job on the rear under spoiler. So yea... after all is said and done I spent a lot of money... why

painted calipers
Hey guys,
Thanks to Alucard, I did not put on the Brake Caliper covers. Per Alucards recommendation, I went with a duplicolor paint kit, which works unbelievably well. I did about 4-5 coats on each caliper, and the gloss looks amazing. I would recommend the duplicolor paint kit to anyone looking to do a caliper paint job.

My Duplicolor Caliper Paint Kit write-up/review
I used Duplicolor and liked it a lot. It has lost some of the gloss, but that's fine by me. I just wanted to get rid of the nasty iron color.
