i have the ce28s with 30+ front and 34+ rear wrapped with 245/40 front and 275/35 rear and rarely rub, but i still recommend fender roll.

first of all thanks guys for the input,

NgoRX8 can you please elaborate more on what causes DANomite's setting to rub? is it the offset or is it the tires?

Anyone can give me the perfect offset without any sort of fender rolling or rubbing for the CE28N rims for the 18x8.5 and 18x9.5 please let me know. TQ

I have 19x8.5 (f) +46 and 19x9.5 (r) +43 offsets with 245/35 and 275/30 respectively, lowered on Tein S-Tech, and my rear rubs on hard bumps and dips, and aggressive cornering. With rear passengers, every little crack. I will have to shave my rear fenders. If I would've known, I would've gotten more agressive offsets.

this is the reason why i recommended 235/40 and 265/35 tires. you won't rub...unless you SLAM it. you are slightly stretching the tires to where an acceptable height will not be a problem. you would be fine if you were on, for example, Tein S-Techs.

now, if you were to slam it, you would probably have to roll the fenders and go with a smaller tire. at that point, it'll be a good idea to get a camber kit.

how are people shaving the fenders

it seems my drivers rear rubs some. i was wondering if stiffer coilover settings would fix that?

I want to get the GTS in 19x8.5 and 19x9.5 but I'm still confused about offset. I want a deep dish yet I don't know if the C set of offsets will give sufficient room for brakes. I want to do a +37 rear yet I don't know if I can fit that in the back without some serious negative camber. I do plan on rolling the fenders but some input would be appreciated.

ac3mastch - according to my calculations you rear rims will be sticking about 1.37 inch further than stock (1/2 of 1.5 inch wider rim = .75 x 25.4mm (1") = 19 mm + the 13mm gained from the reduced offset = 34 mm (34mm / 25.4mm = 1.37")

I know the rears can hold 1 extra inch easily, but I would say you would have to roll or shave your fenders for these.

Volk Racing GT-S:
(f) 19x8.5 +30 (approx. 3.5" lip) or +34 (approx. 3" lip) 245/35-19 tire
(r) 19x9.5 +37 (approx. 3.75" lip) 275/30-19 tire

depending on how low you go, you might have to roll the fenders or not. the +30 offset for the front will be more aggressive. the +34 will be conservative. the +37 rear will be perfect.

you'll fit a +37 GT-S as long as you get your fenders rolled.

anyway, I wasn't worried about clearance because I was going to roll fenders. My question was if the rears can fit because of the C style offset. I know there is less room for the brakes because it gives a bigger lip. The B offset will fit but I'm not sure about the C.

Oh, and for the front I was going to go with the +36 offset because I want to do a big brake kit up front. Plus, I like a big dish rear wheel. Much bigger than the front.

damn i see some sick rx-8s on this forum with some nice wheels. i myself got volk/rays engineering se37a's on my rx-7 (18 by 8.5 fronts and 18 by 9.5 rears), and they only weigh 16 pounds for the fronts and 16.5 pounds for the rears. I'm selling some brand new volk/rays engineering gt-av wheels with brand new tires if anyone's interested (check out my signature). you all have some nice wheels; good luck with your cars....

does anyone know if any of the grams light rims especially the T57-RC or the 57F Pro take the tmps? The T57's are casting one peice while the Pro's are Forged 2 peice. How about the regular 57Pro that is casting 2 peice? Any info would help and sorry for all the questions.

anyways, i cant find anyone on the forums with these rims... darn search tool is not helping me out on this...
