Car feels like it has no suspension in back
Hey everyone, my RX8 is currently in the garage for the winter, but in the spring i want to get my suspension looked at....My car drives fine and feels smooth, however if I drive over a bump, or any pothole, the back of the car makes an awful clank noise that sounds like I just lost part of my car lol.
It feels like the back has no shocks...I'm driving a basic chevy cobalt for the Winter and it's smooth as heck over bumps compared to my RX8. I've noticed it looks like the back of my car is lowered, but it has stock suspension. Do you think this is a brushings issue? I'm wondering if this is normal for all RX8s or if i have a problem. Thanks.

sounds like your shocks are on their way out. How many miles on the car? Look at the shock body, do you see any oil residue around it? Open your trunk and try to bounce the rear end, do you hear squeaking or clunking? These are a few signs of failing shocks

The car has 70k...I will have to push down and check...The car looks lowered on both sides..symmetrical. Just don't know if it would be springs or shocks...And how much this would be to get fixed. Car rides fine on the highway and everything just annoying to drive over bumps.
