yup, i'm not going to paint or plastic cover my brakes... but its interesting to see how quickly people flame this while praising painted brakes.
I think either this or painted calipers are fine on your car, its your car... whatever makes you happy, BUT i would never do either to mine.

LOL, did you read the FAQ, 1st question/answer
Please tell me you're kidding...
We know that EyCatcher Universal Caliper Brake Cover Kit is new in the market. The product may seem funny but we have a lot of positive feedback from our local customers. As the exclusive manufacturer, we have many overseas customers that purchased EyCatcher Universal Caliper Brake Cover Kit kit directly from us to sell in their countries.

Momentum Keeps Me Going
There's a significant dif between these pathetic plastic covers and painted calipers in all respects, as far as I'm concerned. First, and this is a personal choice, I like a car (or a person, or most anything for that matter) that is well kept, both fuctionally and asthetically. Second, obviously asthetics and cleanliness are personal choices, but IMO any car's rusty hubs /corroded calipers simply look like crap. Most cars wheels are well covered up so NBD, but ours are not, they're so obvious as to be painful to look at when not taken care of, and look like crap. Bad Mazda in the 1st place for leaving them that way. But ANY color, black, yellow, red, blue, silver, brown, maybe even the pink I saw here yesterday are prefereable to corroded dirty greasy base metal left that way (no..I take that back...pink is really pretty borderline something).
2 cents worth to those who think clean neat things are ricer...I think you've got issues - not that there's anything wrong with having issues, mind you.

Well said Spin9k, i agree. The plastic callipers are for people who just want to "cover up" problems... from watching the install video on the website its cleary easier to cover your old callipers than to actually take the time and care to clean them first, clean rust away grit etc. and paint them carefully protecting them in the long run too. People who put the effort into thier cars should get respect for it.

The fake calipers/rotors are rice because it's pretending to be a performance upgrade. Painting the calipers isn't necessarily rice, it could just be to have a clean look like spin9k said.
