Clunk/knock when braking? Upgrade to urethane swaybar bushings
I was getting a horible knocking sound when applying or letting off the brakes. I looked over the front suspension and found that one of my sway bar links was trashed. I wanted to upgrade to polyeurethane bushings, but could not find any for the stock swaybar searching this site or google. I ended up buying these 27 mm bushings for a 240sx: http://www.energysuspensionparts.com...ame&Sec=122656
They fit like they were designed for the car. I think you could re-use the stock mounts, but one of mine was dented, which is what I believe caused the stock bushing to fail. I used the included mounts and had to put them all the way at the bottom of their travel to clear the bracket for the ABS wire.
