Coilovers: Stance GR vs HKS Hipermax III
So im looking to lower my baby soon . Obviously going to go with coilovers cause i personally go big or go home. Im interested in either the stance GR or the HKS hipermax. Ive been researching a bit on both and i read nothing but good reviews on both of them. What im looking for is to lower my car and have better suspension at the same time, basically everyones goal when lowering their cars. I want to be able to lower quite a bit, not slammed but low so that there is no wheel gaps. They both seem to be able to do so but my question is would the few hundred dollars be worth it if i were to get the HKS Hipermax. HKS makes good **** but it seems like i can get the same thing for alot less with the stance. I love the way the KHS look, but then again how often is your suspension seen lol. Any thoughts of advice ???

HKS will hold a higher resale value, higher quality for sure, better performance for sure, but if you don't track I sugges Stance. But plan on keeping them.... .the resale on them won't be so high.

You'd be fine either way, neither hks nor stance are better/worse for track, and they're both more than adequate for street/daily driving. Hks might get you some local parking lot bragging rights as they are the more established/bigger name but me personally, I'd rather go with something I know works than pay for a name.
I agonized over what to go with for months as I'm burned out on my air ride setup, I looked at kw, moton, ohlins, stance, hks, greddy, etc. etc. you name it and I went with the stance as I've seen other people's cars with them and I've read up on them on other vehicle forums and hardly anyone had a complaint, and if they did stance rectified it without issue. I like that they're based in the US as well which makes problem resolution a lot easier than being located overseas like hks etc. I also spent the money I saved going with stance on some swaybars and endlinks in addition to the coilovers as I had a budget of about 2k saved up and that more than covered what I ended up with.
I haven't installed mine yet so I can't speak about driving with them, but I'm sure if you do some research you can find plenty of reviews of both and go from there.

HKS has a location in California >.> HKS USA, just like VERTEX, VERTEX USA. To each their own. ^ he hasn't installed them yet but giving pros about them off other peoples reviews.....

I mentioned other people's reviews as part of researching a purchase is seeing what other people's experiences are, it's saved me a lot of trouble and expense in avoiding buying garbage or overhyped parts that don't work. (not just for my car, but for my bike, rc car, computer, appliances, tv, etc. etc.)
I wasn't aware hks had offices here, they're still not based here though, they just have an office, believe it or not that does make a difference sometimes.

Definitely more than an office.

By establishing HKS USA, Inc. in 1982, HKS reaffirmed its commitment to deliver performance, customer service and quality products to consumers in North America. With the recent purchase of a new 35,000+ sq. ft. headquarters building for North American sales, marketing, warehouse, R&D, and manufacturing operations, HKS has solidified its leadership position and is poised for the future.

HKS hipermax III's, hands down.
quality & performance from a company that has a long history of making exceptional parts.
are you really comparing them to a company who is sending out coilovers with brackets installed backwards and springs that are too short ?

c'mon, this is an EASY choice.

Nothing has been said about spring rates, valving, dampning, compression...Do you know what each one has as far as adjustability range. What it adjust's, have you guys seen either Stance or HKS on a dyno? If not then all of your opinions are useless as far as why one shock is better than another in the sense that a high performance shock is the most efficient when it keeps the tire on the road the longest, and is predictable even when the oil heats up. Have you guys done testing back to back with the Stance and the HKS, on a track/looking at dyno plots and natural frequences of the car?

Buy bilsteins, just to be sure lol.
I think that with the little track time your car's going to see it all comes down to your personal preference.
When considering coilovers you shouldn't even think about how low they can go. You should available spring rates with adequate valving, the tyres you're using, the weight of the car, the chassis' stiffness and definitely your skills.
Both the stance and the hks will be a waste of money if you run super low and don't corner balance your car and then fine tune its suspension system.

If you wanna go low low, and have a ******* awesome riding car get stance.
if you want bling bling get hks.
if you only want performance, and dont are about low or bling bling get these
