Conti ExtremeContact DW - 10K review
I had heard some good reviews about these when i was looking for replacements for my falken fk452.
I guess I waited too long because tire rack, discount tire and all retail locations were out of them in OEM size.
i was finally able to find some on Ebay and get them shipped.
They were really quiet, but i can't tell anymore since i installed stiffer engine mounts this summer.
one of the tires did develop (or had from the start) a small flatspot that goes away quickly when the tire starts to warm up
i would qualify them as really grippy, even in the rain and even at 10k, significantly more than the FK452 in wet conditions.
feel is also better. especially at higher speeds on winding roads. predictable/controllable slipping/skidding when pushed hard on purpose (i dont drift but like to float out of turns sometimes)
wear is even @ 10K, having done the rotation @ 5K. the D and W letter are still clearly visible on the tread.
would def. recommend.. get them when you see them, they seem to sell out every year
