Couple quick questions/opinions
I don't have an AutoX track anywhere near my house. So my 8 will never be on a track. But when I take a 90 degree turn hard, the front end of the car dives down and rolls more than I would like. Better than many cars, but more than I would like. In addition to this, I have aftermarket wheels and lower profile tires. My 8 is in need of a drop.
First, as for sway bars, I'm thinking Progressive simply because they seem to be the strongest/best. And when it comes to body roll, I would think stronger is better. What are the disadvantages of having a sway bar much stiffer than stock?
Second, I have heard a couple accounts of the bushing metal braces that the Progressive bars come with snapping. Are the ES bushings really that much better? Certainly doesn't look any thicker from the pics I've seen.
And lastly, springs. This is my daily driver, so I don't want a ride that I will feel every small pebble in the road. So this would mean using springs with comparable compression rates to stock. I'm thinking Tein S-tech, Tanabe NF, or Tanabe GF. I have read many posts on here of people loving their S-techs and saying ride comfort is nearly the same as stock, but yet out of the three, those are the furthest from stock in terms of spring rates?! But maybe most importantly, I'm too poor to afford Koni's for now. So closer to stock rates would give me maximum stock shock life correct? I mean, I'd love some extra performance if it doesn't sacrifice ride comfort..... Think I'm leaning towards the Tanabe GF's. Seems to be middle of the road. Best of both worlds.
