Question Covering the TMPS Light?

I just bought a tire/wheel set from tire rack for the winter and decided not to shell out the extra 400 for the sensors. is there a way to get inside the instrument cluster to put a piece of black tape on the light so i dont have to look at it flash at me all winter? just curious if anyone has tried this. i know there is a diy about cutting a wire to disable it but i just want to temporarily cover it. any help would be great! thanx

it is going to be much more of a pain to tape it over believe me...besides you may make a mess of the gauge cluster...just cut the wire and put it on a toggle switch you can keep the switch hidden behind the glove compartment since you only need to flip it twice a year
