Cracked Alloy Spoke?

Hi guys, been using the site ever since i got my 8, and have always managed to find what im looking for by searching, but this is a weird one..

not long after buying the 8 i installed apex springs, then i bought a brand new set of Inovit Ev32's in white ( velocity red and white looks the dogs ******, now around a month ago, just after cleaing my car i drove around about a 5 miles all round trip to pick my girlfriend up, when i got back i glanced back at my car ( as any rx8 owner knows, its hard to resist the quick last glance at the sexyness ) and notices 2 black lines on my back wheel.

i took a close inspection and seen there was two cracks in two of the spokes on the alloy, now the thing is, that all the roads i take to my girlfriends house are smooth, and i know before i left there was no crack in the wheel because i had just cleaning them, and i spend alot of time on the wheels,

now at the moment i only had two standard alloys with tyres on, so there now on the back,

the thing is, im not quite sure if there safe to be repaired? theres mixed signals online and i cant seem to find anything like it on here.

any help would be much appreciated
cheers

marti

HArd to comment without being able to see it, any pics? If its all the way through the spoke, i'd say it needs to be binned.

Where the wheels powder coated or sprayed? Ive seen quite a few times that powder coated wheels crack very easily. I would get in touch with the seller or manufacturer.

He had shitty, budget wheels to begin with.

Buy a set of real wheels and enjoy them.

Ah, theyre not original wheels? It's certainly not unusual for aftermarket rims to fail early.
