Decent track coilovers

Hi guys, I've searched around a bit and it seems that a set of decent quality track coilovers are quite rare for our car. I'm looking for something along the lines of the KW Clubsports, or HKS Hipermax III Sport or Super Sport. It's going to be for a dedicated track car, so road manners are not an issue. Cost isn't too much of an issue, probably up to around 3000 dollars would be ok. I know Koni has shocks, but I'm looking for a complete coilover.

Please don't flame me, I promise I have searched!

Fat cat can get you situated. Have your credit card ready.

If you want to pay 3 grand, ohlins or Fat Cat would be the way to go.

KW V3's are a good street/track coilover and the only true 2-way adjustable in its price range. They are very comfortable on the street while the valving and spring rates instill a lot of confidence on the track. Downside is they are heavier then Ohlins and if you want a full track coilover down the road you will need higher spring rates which involve a little extra work because the rear uses the stock top hat and a progressive spring.

Yeah, i do like the KW's but the V3 are still a little too soft for full track use. Thats why i was hoping they would make a clubsport version for the RX8 but they dont.

I'll see what i can find out about the fat cat and ohlins.

Good win racing sells a set of ohlins with like 13k/8k spring rates or something. Either those or some PSS9's from fat cat.

Yeah, i'm liking the ohlins, for there adjustability, more than the fat cats.
I find it a bit strange that the fat cats are non-adjustable, although they are very well priced for custom valved coilovers!

Which ones do you want to install on, FCM or Ohlin? I have read people using hypercoils with Koni 2812 or Moton as well.

Moton makes good stuff as well but if you want to get into Time Trials or something, shocks with remote reservoirs carry a pretty hefty point value in the classing system. That and they're like 5 grand not including springs...
