Disc Brakes Australia (DBA) Rotors?
Well after attempting to start painting my rusty rotors today (and giving up an hour or so later) I started searching for new rotors. I really want two-piece rotors to save weight, but I don't think I am prepared to spend that much money. So I started searching to see what is out there, and in addition to Racing Brake's quality stuff, I came across Disc Brakes Australia's (DBA) stuff:
www.dba.com.au
The 4000 series (1-piece) and 5000 series (2-piece) rotors look fantastic! I love the drilled+slotted pattern of the gold ones, and the slotted-only black ones look good too. If the drilled+slotted ones came with a black hub, I think I would have already ordered a set. Not a fan of the gold though. Still considering the black one-pieces.
When I searched the site I came up with very little info, and nothing recent at all. Does anybody here have first-hand experience with DBA's rotors?

I have them on a Prelude and they work fine (1 piece design). Used them for a track event and didn't really notice a big difference between DBA or other brands. I've used OEMs, Brembo blanks, & Power Slot all on the track and it's all about the same. The pad compound makes the biggest difference. I do notice that the DBA rotor seemed to wear a little more evenly across the surface as compared to the Brembo blanks. Maybe the slotted face scrubs the pad more evenly.
As far as the kangaroo paw design for improved heat dissipation, it seemed to work, but I didn't have a thermal gun to measure. No smoke from the rotors after my session so it seemed good enough
They have the color coded lines which tell you when certain temperatures are exceeded, but they're way too low to mean anything on the track. They all changed colors for me.
I'd buy them again.
