The first person to "flame" him registered the same month as him and has the same exact amount of posts as him. And telling him that this is a poor financial decision is the best help whether he thinks so or not. He could have easily googled the company and got his answer but instead he started a thread so if he can't handle a little ragging then that is pretty sad. And this site is worse in some ways and yet far better in other ways. Opinions vary I guess.

Exactly.

If you can't pay in full for non essential life items in GENERAL, you really have no purpose purchasing them.

The only caveat to that is if you are purposely trying to increase your credit score by taking out small loans and establishing a good payment record and ability to pay off your loans to help with a future mortgage.

But you are right, it is none of our business what you do with your money, or what standing your personal finances are in.

You asked for a review on a company but got a much better life lesson.

I used a credit card for the second half of my 360 forged wheels. something came up in between the first 50% to start and the last 50% when complete 2 months later.

But i would not trust them company and im sure there is fine print. as far as a car goes I try and pay cash for everything or able to pay it off the same month. Interest on aftermarket parts IMO is insane all there is, is depreciation in value the second you buy.

In the end the wheels on there im sure you could find other places cheaper they are knock offs aside from Enkei and a few brands ive never heard of. Or save your money for some nice (possibly used) legit wheels. You will thank yourself in the end

IMO, you got your panties in a twist for no reason. If you stop taking it so personal, you'd actually see that they are/were trying to help you make a smart financial choice (we deal with a lot of kids on this site), regardless of your financial situation.

Besides, you didn't get flamed hard. It can get way worse.

Thanks for the words but I really didnt get my panties twisted and if you go back and reread most of the posts it was far from trying to help me but more of some pretty childish trash talking. A few guys def did try to help. I was just shocked that a few guys took such an intrest into my financial dealings instead of the topic at hand. I nicely explained my reasoning and then nicely asked to justmstay on topic but that was too much to ask. Aminimity of the web really does bring out the *** in jackasses Im noticing. I certainly wasnt happy about the very uncalled for talk about me but other then that I learned something here.

I just really hope this isnt a common occurance here because the little bit of time ive been here I reallly enjoy this site but if this is the norm then I wont be here much longer.

Thanks agiain to all you guys who were just trying to help

Thanks for that info, I think I am actually going to look around a little more before I do anything. I have never bought aftermarket rims before so I do not know much at all about which companies are good or not. Thanks for the heads up!

It's not man, and it really never existed until a year or two ago when most (all) of the rx8 info has been found out so the people that have been around forever are just sick of hearing the same thing over and over and refer you to the search function (which is useless unless you know how to use it and if you ask you'll be told to search) so just forget about all that **** and you'll enjoy your stay

I may be newly registered, but I've been on a fair share of forums. RX8club doesn't even come close to being as bad as some others I've been on. I'm new myself, but I'd encourage you to stay. I've been flamed myself, it happens to all of us at one point or another.

In regards to my post, please realize that you're on a public forum. People will state their advice or opinion regardless if it relates to your OP. Its a forum, threads get side tracked all the time. I posted my advice, deal with it.

Now in regards to financing your wheels, you argue that its substantially cheaper. You might get military discount, but do you really save that much more money? You finance it, they charge interest, they make money. How is that cheaper than buying outright? If you were to buy a set of wheels from a reputable vendor, I'm sure they would be able to give you a better price minus the interest. Not to mention that the only brand worth buying from discountrimfinancing would be Enkei.

I'm sorry if my initial post offended you, but It's my personal opinion. Take it with a grain of salt if you want to. But you're definitely right, I have absolutely no business with how you want to spend your money. All I can do is give you some advice.

If you want suggestions as where to look for wheels, try vividracing, wheelflip, memoryfab, and VRwheels a try.

look kid, when you post anything on an internet forum you open yourself up to anything and everything under the sun. Focus on what is worthy or suits your purpose and ignore the rest. It's called maturity, but 99 times out of 100 the people squawking about immaturity are the ones playing the irony game. In other words, it's a public forum so don't be a moron and try to claim it's anything else and just accept the reality of it. Expand that same mindset into your every day life and all the BS like difficult people at work etc. just melts away. Some people will never get it though. They will always go through life being petty and getting upset over trivial BS that in the end really means nothing more than wasted energy trying to prop up their overly bloated ego.

Hey bud, that was the perfect post and really is giving me a much better outlook on this website. I have no problem at all with people askimg me and even disagreeimg with my about financimg these rims. Im seriously all for you saying your peace about how foolish you think it might be to finance and ill debate it with ya and you could even possibly sway me to your view piont. It was just the personal attacks about my life style and maturity that really bothered me. I was pretty much attacked over something pretty ridiculous and that just floored me.
I have a ton of respectnfor you for saying what you did and Inseriously want to thank you.

It's a great site man, you just have to get what you can from it and leave it at that. But for the most part we all get along

nobody is attacking you. They have an opinion. It is nothing more than that. When someone comes after you with a knife, club, gun, bomb etc. then you are being attacked.

Thank you!!! I ended up doing a good bit of research on them last night and then did some comparison pricing and man was I blown away. The military discoumt I was gettimg was 15% off which alone was awesome but the 4% finance rate was just the cherry on top. After co parison pricing I foumd out why he could give me such a low rate and a awesome discoumt. It was because he was marking up the prices by and Im serious here 70%!!!!!!! Needless to say that was a bit of a shock and a big time deal breaker

I don't understand paying more for something. Unless your gonna pay it off during the grace period on your credit card then pay cash. Otherwise your paying more for the parts then they cost when you factor in finance charges. Just makes no sense to me.

One of tje truest sayimgs ever. Im usually tje first guy to call that oit but being new to all this I didnt know if it was the norm and the military discount is becoming a regular thing at a very large amount of stores but it certai ly is a big scam. They were almost $900 more then a co petitor for 4 wheels, 4 tires mounted balanced and delivered. Thats just an obscence difference in price from a si ilar dealer!!!

Intercity Concepts on state road right near Ashburner. It's across the street from PICC. Water Ice factory is right there. They finance, it'll take about 5 minutes to find out if you're approved. Talk to the dude with all the tattoos, his name is Gaby (say it like Bobby but with a G instead of a B). They are a reputable shop and you'll have nothing to worry about. Plus it's local so he can go over all the rims available, tire choices etc.

That's a really good tip, I will definitely check them out but not until I have a new motor installed. Mine seized on the 2 nd day I had the car, so things aren't off to a great start for me
