Ok, my father works for a tire company and I'm looking to get a new set of 245/40R18's for the car. Its really easy for him to just have them setup for will call at the warehouse instead of shipping them to me. Problem is that I only have the rx8.

So....will four of those size tires fit ?
Maybe one or two in the trunk and two in the back seat? (I'll wrap them of course)

Seems like I should be able to get them in the car but before I drive down there I would like to know if someone else has done the same thing or has tried.

yup, you can put all 4 of them in the back seat. 2 per side, and facing so the sidewalls are facing the back of the seats, not facing the doors.

make sure you cover your center console and pass through panel to protect them from scratches.

i picked up a set of 4 rims+tires and it fit pretty good. I think you'll be fine.

One will fit in the trunk, the other 3 in the back seat facing the seats and use the passenger seat to hold them still by pushing it back against the tires.

yes, and definitely cover the center tunnel/console with something so you don't scratch it!

I've had 6 tires in my 8... dont ask why... but they fit

ive had 4 18x10" wheels in my 8 before but never more than 2 tires lol
