the weight savings is really noticeable on the arm scales....when lifting them off and on the car for those pics we took...especially between the stock wheels and new race setup. Oh, when will mine arrive ??????????

Like the pictures Speed.
I want to get a similar set up.
I can get some 8lb. wheels, but I don't know if I want to make the plunge.
Umm....... SC or body kit and wheel and tires for track?
Don't want to put the SC on the charge card.
Damn it a AFE short shifter slipped in my car today .......... there goes my budget!

If you are thinking abour carbon fiber 8lb wheels just don't bring them to an SCCA event, they are not allowed.
![Mad](https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/mad.gif)
You just need to step up and copy Casey's wheel/tire combo and you lap times will take a big drop more than a SC will ever do.

well I didnt drive much on the street with them.... only the maybe 10 miles to the track and back. but with the race tires it was a rather harsh ride due to 40 pounds of air, not to mention my car already has a harsh ride due to the lowering and koni's (mostly the koni's)
even with my axis and the street tires I dont have the best ride.
what I am getting at is I really dont have an answer for ya..... sorry.

fitment under compression.... well my car is one of the lowest I have ever seen, and even when I was driving on them I never heard or felt rub. bear in mind though that I run alot more camber then most people. but still, I dont see there being a problem for anyone.
Lock to Lock, did a test lock to lock in the driveway, did not see any issues.
feedback at speed, hard to answer as I never went over 70MPH, also hard to answer as I have race tires on so of course they have awsome feedback.![Wink](https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/wink.gif)
personally I think the wheel is a little much for the street, I dont see why you would need 9.5" of rubber on the ground to drive to work, but if a 9.5" wheel all the way around is what you are looking for to make the canyon runs just that much funner (i know it's not a word) then these wheels would be great.

idealisticly i was looking for 9's and these 9.5 are lighter then most 9s anyway. Also i am trying to keep the price and weight down, and these are just sick cheap for the performance. The roads to work are nice set of twisty backroads and i did buy this car primarily for the ability to tare *** through corners.

well there you go... looks like you found a winner.
should be a big differance from 8"
I am sure you dont need to be told, but bear in mind the tires for these wheel are a LOT more then the tires for a 8" wheel.

Did you ever see pictures of these wheels on Team RX8's car? They look awsome. Get the center caps though

I will also need to find a good powdercoater in the area becuase i want them blacked out. I really like the look of the white rx8 racecar with the black rocker panel to pull the black rims together. In case you havent figured it out my 8s white.

Here's my car, and I do drive on the street with these wheels. I have OEM shocks/springs and the tires are 275/35. The car does see time at the track for HPDE type sessions. I went with the wheels because they were the widest and lightest I could find. I have no complaints.
