Question Dust Free Brake Pads

Is anyone using them? If so which brand?

Has anyone used EBC Green Stuff or Hawk brake pads...

Hawk pads- replacement

Got tired of cleaning my wheels (fronts) every day- the Hawks, have made a huge diffrence- cleaner, a little more aggresive, now we will see about durability.

Why not invoke the Mazda TSB for squealing brakes? Tell a dealer your brakes squeal and they'll install new pads for free, compliments of Mazda.

According to those who've done it (I haven't yet) they're far less dusty than the original pads.

Yes, I had my TSB done and it did wonders. There is IMO 1/4 the dust on the fronts then before. Even when dirty its less noticable not a rusty color dust. I would suggest getting those first. That way you might save yourself some money. :D

I agree, had mine replaced under TSB and have noticed there is a LOT LESS dust... maybe even less than 25% compared to the original pads.

I also had the TSB done and agree there is much less dust and not nearly as bothersome.

I tried that--but my dealer is saying that its time for front pad replacement anyway--as such it does not fall under the TSB--that sounds SUS to me So I will take it to another dealer first before I pay for em--in the event that I do pay for em would it be to my advantage to get hawk/green stuff/red stuff pads? I don't plan on autocrossing my car--but I'm an aggressive driver.

That's odd - I'm under the impression that the TSB covers up to 50,000 miles ... as long as you are under a specific VIN #.

Check it out: http://www.finishlineperformance.com...cs/04-006.html

I'm calling BS on your dealer. I got my brake pads replaced under TSB with over 25,000 miles driven.

Just got back from another dealer and they are not willing to change them for free because they are worn--less than 20% left. They told me the pads are $119 for the front pair--I said I'll get Hawk or EBC pads for about half of that.
